Hello everyyyone! My name is Mathyou! (Matthew) and I'm here to build me some foam suits! There's so much talent here, and I've seen how great te community is so finally after a year I decided to make an account! And posty builds! My first major build (like most people.) is an iron man suit! So if you have any tips, material links or even pep files I could use I would appreciate it! I'm building this suit basically because my boss said I could wear it to one of our fund raisers! I work at a YMCA, and we do a lot of free community events. So the idea of taking a photo with a hero was a no brainer to me! I know the kids would dig it, and I know it could help our little YMCA. Thank you in advance if you can help!

Hello! Im new to the community and starting to build my first cosplay costume for the Austin Comic con in oct. I'm attempting a FemShep n7 amour costume :)

Hi All,
Have been reading a few threads for a couple of days doing research for a costume project I have wanted to try for a long time and found such wonderful information I wanted to join the community. I don't have much experience in fabrication (like this anyway) but I'm hoping some patience and perseverance will see me through. With any luck I'd like to have my first fully crafted costume done in the next two years. I know its pretty "done" at this point but ever since I was little I have loved Iron Man and War Machine so I will be attempting a suit (small bits at first to learn technique etc) and hopefully if I have any ability at all will then be able to extend this to doing costumes for my wife and family.

I also think doing a series of X-Com inspired suites and doing a group event would be pretty spectacular as an add on.

Hi I'm Kieran from the UK. Found this site via a Facebook cosplay site and thought I'd sign up. I haven't done much complicated prop making before first bits was a Ben 10 Omnitrix which I want to remake once I've got a 3d printer. My other cosplay was a moon knight outfit which was more sewn stuff.

Future plans are a Mr freeze (with smoke) and a character called ruin from a Samsun lobe book (which will be a fun animal based helmet to make).

Look forward to doing some searching.

Cheers

Beard (Kieran)

Hello!

I've been a lurker for a few months. I originally came across this site while doing some research after a "Dexter" binge. Since then, I've thoroughly enjoyed following various projects on here and learning how some of these marvelous pieces were crafted. I figure the best way to learn more would be to join in the discussion, so I have decided to take the plunge!

Hello I'm Ant, I'm from the UK this is gonna be my midlife crisis I have decided, so am new to this but have big dreams. Thanks for letting me join.

Hi!
I'm from the Akron/Cleveland area and I'm just getting into this sort of thing. I did a lot of lurking for a long time. Some of my favorite comics include X-men, Punisher, and Turok.

Hello my name is Brandon Pantoja, I found out about Pepakura a year ago because I was searching up iron man costumes and realized I can make one myself so I decided to give it a shot, I am looking forward to making iron man suits and power ranger masks, again I am new to this so I guess there will be a lot of trial and error :)

I look forward to improving my skills, and sharing tips I've learned.

Hello
I've heard of this forum before but only just joined. I built a USS Voyager (Star Trek) and someone at a model show suggested I should join this forum and post some pictures of it.
I'll be doing that over the next few days. I have a Wordpress blog that you can take a look at well. Prydien's Blog | USS Voyager Model building
I made the build a kind of blend of the studio model and CGI model.

Hi all,
I`ve been into movies, props, makeup effects etc. since I was very young, and grew up fascinated by the creative process and artistry that went in to the making of a film. I remember as a child I would never be shocked or horrified by anything in films or on tv because I tended to view everything on how well made the prosthetics were! Quite often I enjoy a good `making of` more than the actual film itself :) Never having the spare cash to buy props I started making my own objects, not always props but just curiosities to have decorating my home. I specialise in photoshop primarily, but enjoy actually making things or painting things or both as a hobby. I've been coming here for a while now and finally decided to join up :) I'm quite well known for designing Hellraiser Boxes, several of which have been made as actual replicas, and recently worked with Paul Gerrard designing a a box for his Re-imagining of the Hellraiser world, which sadly never got past the creation of a pitch trailer. - Here's a few of my bits , more in my galleries if you're interested :) The gold and red box isn't a physical replica, its one of the pictures I made in photoshop for the Hellraiser Origins pitch.
