Hey all - I'm returning after a... uh, 25 year hiatus? Somewhere in there. I was on here back in the late 90s under the name "Wilky" (may have been "Wilky85", I don't recall) while I was in middle school. The word "Graflex" popped into my head the other day, and I thought "huh, I'm an adult now, I wonder if you can still buy one..". If you didn't deduce, as the average 12 year old, I had exactly zero dollars to buy anything -- but that Graflex was my holy grail for a while!

Ended up buying a Roman Props Gen 2 basically instantly when I saw they were available. Excited to get it. Might end up grabbing the real thing one day, but this should satiate me for a while.

If anyone remembers me, then you've been here for a loooong time haha :)

Hi everyone! I'm new here. Just found this via Google search as I'm trying to build my own prop replica of Charmed's Book of Shadows. Any tips or tricks you have regarding printing out paper props or binding a book (since it will also be my first!) - I'd appreciate it!

I'm also a huge fan of the MCU and Stargate.

Hey all! ...my name is Tomasz - I'm new to props and fabrication. I recently completed my first K-2SO fabrication and a friend of mine suggested joining this forum to learn from the best and meet some likeminded folks. So, here I am... :) Hello... :)

I will post more somewhere within the forum, but this is my droid that started it all: Tomasz Opasiński : Iconoclast

Hi, I'm José. I've been a longtime lurker, but have been building on and off for several years. Mostly, I'm into Ghostbusters props, but of course, I have an interest in many of the movie props that have been ingrained in my mind and heart growing up. Looking forward to learning from this community.

Hello guys and gals,
I have been a model kit builder for 50 years and a Star Wars fan since 1977 when i went to the movies to watch the original SW. I have recently retired from the military so i now have time to pursue some passions of mine.
I want to get together a collection of Star Wars prop weapons as i think they are stunning pieces of art. I would also like to learn about 3D printing and the associated computer programs. If anyone knows of a good book that covers 3D printing, please let me know.
Cheers, Gilly

Hello everyone! I’ve never been good at crafting but after spending a long time being a fan of both Star Wars and Star Trek….I’ve decided to seek out and build my own Han Solo cosplay for this Halloween. My favorite of the series is TESB, so I’m going to look into putting something together. I didn’t realize there were a couple of major players when it comes to the DL-44 itself, so I may look into Blaster Factory since I believe Todd is no longer making them. I’ll be looking for something in higher quality in regards to the outfit so that I can wear it to other things in the future, too!

I work in IT, love Golfing and am a musician and hot rodder. So got enough hobbies going on, hence, I’ll be looking to purchase as opposed to creating or making my own stuff for now.

You might want to consider a resin cast or 3D print for Halloween. Real steel will be very heavy on your thigh, and risk of damage or confiscation by police is a consideration as well. Just something to think about.

Hello, I'm Julian from Spain. I've been collecting 1/6, 1/4 and 1/3 scale figures for a long time now. I've always enjoyed making my own custom figures and I've been making 1/1 figures and props for my collection for some time now. Best regards.

Cool, can you post any photos?

Yes, I'll give you some of the latest stuff. I will be uploading some more work. In Object Replicas I have uploaded the latest work I am doing. Regards.

NEW, OLD MEMBER HERE.
Hello all. My name is Anthony. I've been a member since July 2011, back when I was making my Spartacus costume and was asking for help. So I've been a member for 13 years. But alas, I only have 15 posts! lol But now I have only 35 posts to go to become a full member...so baby steps! I'm glad to see not much has changed on this site, other than the skill, craftsmanship and designs from the members! You guys have ALWAYS been resourceful as hell. So anywho...I'm back baby! I'm going to look around a bit, and work my way to full membership. So wish me luck.

Figured id introduce myself as well. My name is Georgie

Been here for several weeks, out of curiosity, and now I'm so infactuated with teminator props and trying to build a full scale T800. LIke many have said, this place is incredibly resourceful and full of very talented people- I am glad I am able to visit and learn.

Hello!

First time caller, long time listener.

I'm Catherine, I've been coming to the RPF for a long time for info on how to do things for small projects or inspiration but up until know I've just been lurking. Recently I've started to get back into making and cosplay after having taken a break for nearly half a decade and thought I might as well finally make an account here and maybe share what I'm working on (and maybe pick the brains of some of you all for things I need help with).

I also do a lot of scale modeling, Map making, Worldbuilding, etc. so I look forward to sharing and learning from this great community!

Hi everyone. I've been lurking for a few days before joining.

I'm a newbie prop/costume maker, but have been painting miniatures and gaming terrain for a while.

My main interest is making a (reasonable) Aliens Colonial Marines helmet from a replica M1 helmet (I haven't the heart to butcher a real one), but we will see where I go from there.

I have an FDM printer (Bambu Lab A1) and an Elegoo Mars 2 resin printer, some foam floor mats and not a lot of spare money. I might buy some resin casts for a few of the bits I need though.

I live in North Wales...so that's fun.

Guten Tag everybody!
