Greetings. I am quite interested in getting help and learning all I can to make replica props and items. I want to learn all I can to make as close to the real thing as possible! I am currently working on making a Dragon Dagger from Might Morphin Power Rangers. But I would someday like to expand into Armor crafting. If you have any tips for a newbie feel free to give your advice!

Hope this is where I introduce myself to you all
hi I'm bengrim 47 years young and can't wait to get heavily involved into my darth Vader reveal project been a lurker on this and other forums for years following great builders like kurtyboy and others, still collecting parts but nearly ready to go, I have a stepson who works in the movie industry doing visual effects for the big screen Marvel Harry Potter and many others, we both agree building and crafting something with your hands is more rewarding than drawing and creating it on screen but don't get him wrong he loves his job and wouldn't change it for anything he's worked hard to get where he is now.
I've always been into special effects / make up / visual effects and have done some Halloween masks in the past Freddie Kruger and glove / pinhead / zombies / have done some prop work for the local acting groups but nothing to serious and love model making usually WW2 models as working as a plumber and gas engineer gets pretty hectic so had no time to actually get on with my build, so I'm now thinking it's about time to get on with it.
so hi everyone

Greetings from 1997,

I found this forum from turbo Kid fandom viewing on the web. Was looking for great cosplay peers for tips on turbo kid but hadn't found anything accurate enough for my ocd! Thus the Netflix puase by puase sketch began! And sooner than later we had our Turbo Kid Cosplay for Emerald city ComiCon 2016!

Hi Everyone ! I was steered here by a friend of mine looking to start a ROTJ Vader Build,I have always loved the character and thought that a Vader suit that is as close as I can get to "screen accurate" would be a nice project to work on . I am looking forward to meeting people and making friends here as well as getting some help with my build .

Hi everyone!
I discovered this forum a couple of years back after searching for various movie prop and costume builds. Ive made a few props in the recent past such as Ghostbusters Proton Packs and Traps, TDK Knight Suit and other Armour all made out of EVA Foam. I've been interested in movie props since I was a kid and always loved being creative so when I found this site I was inspired even more by other members craft! Its great to be part of this community with you all!

My name is Paul and I live in sunny southernCalifornia. I have gotten into costumeand prop building more seriously the last couple of years. I have modified somephasors and tricorders with Techno kits back in the day. My main interest is Star Trek but I haveothers. I have a Halloween costumecontest every where I work which started me on making costumes and not justprops. I'm getting into resin castingwhich I really like. For now just some small stuff like magnetic com badges andpips. I have bigger aspirations like type II phasor rifles. We'll see if ithappens.

2014 Halloween costume. I'm the Tin man. My second attempt at foam costumes.

My first foam build. The upper half of Iron Man. Turned out to be a bigger project than expected. Never finished. It's still hanging on the closet.

This year I convinced my office mates to do Star Trek Next Gen for Halloween this year. If there is any interest I will post my builds. I'm having fun and there is so much talent and awesome builds on this site. I've been looking on for years and decided to jump in and get an account. Here I am! I love the site. Keep up the great work.

Paul

Howdy! I am Brock from Arizona and last year I recently jumped back into cosplay after a very long hiatus. I have a variety of interests when it comes to creating cosplays which is great on one hand but on the other hand it means I am usually sitting on multiple unfinished projects but perhaps that is more normal than I realize. I am still quite a newb when it comes to crafting and I have been silently sniping ideas off this site for over a year and I figured I could get more help if I joined up, who knows perhaps I will be able to help someone else. I am seen so much great stuff on this site and love the way it is organized glad to be a member.

Hey everyone, I'm Bryant from Lowell, MA. I've always been interested in cosplay and I'm finally starting to look more into it. I joined to get as much help and pointers as possible. At the moment I'm looking into starting a Green Arrow costume. Anyways, if anyone has any pointers I'd love to read them. Thanks

Hi everyone. I'm Mike from Indiana and have been a Star Wars fan since I was little. I've been a member of the Rebelscum group for awhile and have had great luck meeting great people there. I figured since there have been references to this forum as well, I might as well "join the club".

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to swing by and introduce myself - my gf is a cosplayer and we've found I have a knack for building props (much to her delight). I'm Ryan from Vancouver, BC - 31 years old and just started getting some interest in costumes/props, myself.

Hello,

I'm a designer, maker, tinkerer, "serial-skill-learner" (to steal a phrase from Adam Savage). I like to make costumes (and other things) using sewing, sculpting, arduino/electronics, 3D printing, metalsmithing (jewelry scale), and I'm just starting to work with molding/casting, eva foam, and thermoplastics. So many materials, so little time!

Hello! I have been lurking around the rpf for a while but haven't posted anything myself since I signed up about a year ago. I make costumes for myself and my family - husband and two stepkiddos. It's crazy fun, and sometimes downright nuts but somehow it's become a way of life around this house. I try to do something new with every build so I can consistently push my skill set to new levels. Next up is 3D modeling!

hi...
so I lurked for ages but now say hi. I've been making costumes forever it seems, play with the SCA and the 501st but also random stuff across other genres and fandoms. You can see some of my stuff here http://mousecostumes.blogspot.de/. I'm 50, currently living in Germany and remember life before Star Wars.
