Hi, I'm Pam from Germany and a big Sci-Fi fan (Doctor Who, Iron Man, X-Men, etc).

I sew since a long time, most of them are accessoires, but I also sew cloths. In futur I will build some costumes for me, so I'm here for learning new things with new materials.
Perhaps I can help someone with my sewing skills (just for the balancing of knowledge ;) )

Thanks for beeing here :)

Hey people

I've always searched on RPF to help me with my props costumes and other projects. I am an Arts and Crafts student developing my prop making skills and will be sharing what and How I have made my props. I am currently working on Magneto's Days of Future Past Helmet. The pepakura file isn't out for it yet but I didnt let that stop me and have improvised so follow my threads to see how it comes along :)

Hi, been lurking for a while but not registered. Do, have done some prop work for myself over the years. Nothing much.

Really appreciate the work that many have done here.

Ken

Hello all, nice to be a part of the forum. Everyone does such amazing work! I don't do a lot work and I have only really worked in metal.i know that's unconventional but I like the material properties. A couple years ago I built a set of n7 armor for my wife along with a Valkyrie rifle made out of aluminum. I am now building a halo 4 light rifle out of steel.

Hello all. I am brand new to cosplay and have decided to dive in headfirst by trying to build several Warhammer 40K props. I found out about the site through the local Kansas City cosplay network where theRPF came highly recommended. My skill set is pretty limited but I am learning constantly so any assistance I can give, feel free to ask.

Hey folks, I'm pretty new to the prop replica scene but have fast discovered how fun and addictive it is. My first foray into the prop world was making a Ghostbusters proton pack which is nearly complete. I got a lot of support from the GBfans community. My interests are broader so when I found out about the RPF, I thought "that's where I need to be". I absolutely have to me make an Obi Wan ANH lightsaber. Then maybe Han's DL44 and maybe Luke's x-wing helmet or a T-800 Terminator arm. I've learned a lot of skills already but am eager to learn many more.

Here is a picture of my first project. I have the uniform nearly done too.

Thanks! Totoro looks worried about something!

The Octopus and pac man skull and Hammer are all cane handles I used to sculpt. I've just started doing helmets and armour myself. Check out Evil Ted on youtube for some great EVA foam tutorials. He just did one on female breast plates.

I actually subscribe to Evil Ted's channel on youtube... So I'm one step ahead of you on that. ^^ Also, I love Pac Man.

I first found RPF because I wanted to somehow obtain a Captain America Shield and now I'm hoping to make my own. I am ecstatic to be here and hope to get some feedback and help from everyone in this community.

Well I kind of jumped right into using the forums and kind of missed the meet and greet section of this site! So hello, everybody! I'm kind of new to this whole thing, but the amount of information, cool projects, and motivation that one can gain through this site are astounding. I am so excited to be a part of this process and to learn and develop my skills along with all of you!

Hi all!

I'm brand new to the site, but am loving what I've seen so far! I look forward to seeing all the awesome work as it's posted :) I'm very much into Jurassic Park, and seeing as my other half loves it too, I often look for props that I can buy as amazing presents for him! :)

Hey,

not much to say beyond what others have said.
I'm new to the costume scene but I really want to try my hand at it, I'm just not sure where to start or how to go about doing things on my tight budget so...hopefully my questions won't be too stupid ^^;
I've done some craft work here and there such as fashioning Hobbit school play props and a Smaug head out of carpet foam and creating a cookie mascot prop for our company (Seven Gun Games) out of a 26-inch hula hoop, plaster cloth and felt. I haven't done the more complex stuff though like vac-forming or expanding foam.

I've had plans to make an HEV suit from Half-Life, and just recently found some nifty Zer0 costumes that got me motivated to make my own. I have the cardstock bases but I'm a little stuck on how to progress beyond that. Hopefully I can get some headway into those projects before we go to the next con!

Hello! My name is Brad and ever since I was younger than I am now I have always been just thrilled to create something out of a pile of scraps. The thrill in building and what would look like junk to most and being able to turn this into a complex looking machine just fills my heart with joy. I'm sure many of you know what I'm talking about! I am currently building a Kokiri sword. I love N64 games and love movies. Favorites being Star wars so you could look for those in the future! I love being able to see how a prop is made. Thanks to everyone that makes this place great and I hope to see all of your future builds!
