Hi All, I ran across this site quite by accident and have enjoyed lurking a bit. I'm interested in many areas but right now am focusing on props for detective film noir, eg: The Maltese Falcon. Over the years I've created a few props for photo layouts and training programs, but nothing like some of the work shown on here. Initially I want to create some paper goods to go with some of my Maltese Falcon display. Keep up the good work, I'm sure I'll be in touch looking for suggestions and techniques.

Hey!

Hi, I'm Steve from the UK.

Found this place quite by accident and have been lurking ever since...

I've been into building replica's most of my life, but have only really gotten back into it in the last 5 years or so. I'm a big sci-fi geek, and have been a big Doctor Who fan all my life. So much so that I have a full sized Police Box at the end of my garden, and a K9 in my study...

(One day I really must see about finishing the RC on K9 :$)

I'm still a newbie at this really. Been having a look around the site for a while, the work here really is impressive... I can't promise anything I can produce will hold up but i'll give it a go... :)

Hi there. My name is GEEK and I am in the UK. Like many others I have committed the sin of lurking on RPF. It has inspired and frustrated me trying emulate the amazing stuff on view. I have been attempting a coupla builds for my sons...IRON MAN MK7 and BATMAN AO. I'm also doing a ROBOCOP head for a friend at work and itching to get started on a CAPTAIN AMERICA SHIELD, THUNDERBIRD 2 and eventually a full STOrMTROOPER for myselfHEADS 001.JPGHEADS 006.JPG

Hello everyone! I'm very much into Marvel and can't wait to get started on some projects. This site looks like just the thing I need to jumpstart my ambitions! haha

Hi everyone! I've spent a lot of time lurking on here looking at the awesome builds and projects that everyone has. I have finally decided to join. Hoping to learn a lot from everyone as I am new to this and am hoping to start my first build this summer. Nice to meet everyone!

Hi I'm Raani from New Zealand. I recently came across a sword at a garage sale and bought it because of its intricate design. The person said it came from Xena and Hercules set. I have since then just learnt its an anthean from conan the barbarian. I wish i knew who made the sword and maybe someone out there might know or point me in the right direction. Reading up about swords has given an appreciation of the art. Hopefully my pics will be attached. If not ill post them shortly. Naku noa na (kind regards)..Raani

Hey Everyone,

Hopefully I should have my first build finished in the next couple of weeks.

Nice to meet you all.

Hey guys!

INC here and I'm from the Rocket City aka Huntsville AL. Ever since moving here a couple of years ago, the friends that I've made have all gotten into cosplaying/costumes/etc and frequent conventions which has inspired me to do the same. I've always been a fan of comics, games, sci-fi, etc but never really knew where to take it beyond seeing the films and purchasing the memorabilia but I've decided to kick off my first major convention (Dragon-con) with a legitimate build of my own. I'll be taking on an Amazing Spiderman 2 build already in progress and I've already learned so much from browsing threads here. Looking forward to diving headfirst into this build which will hopefully put me on the right track for better and more difficult builds to come!

Hello again, RPF'rs!

I'm Adam and was a lesser (un)known member waay back. Work and real life had me drop out and of the prop game for the last decade but things have slowed down and I've been lurking the past few years and finally rejoined. I never stopped collecting even though I ended up selling most of what I had.

I'm more collector than a builder, still. But if I can I like to try my own hand at making things too.

Still mostly into SW and Indy but I do love Firefly and Ghostbusters(I would love to begin a proton pack in the new future).

Hi everybody,

My name is Curt and I've been lurking here for a while and am impressed by the high level of skill and information here. I've been doing props and costuming at some level for a while but have gotten into the more advance reproduction stuff lately. I live in San Diego and really enjoy putting the finishing touches on props and costumes. The last couple costumes I did were based on Fallout. Namely Raul the Ghoul (sort of) and a Caesar's Legion officer. I recently started a project that I thought might be good to share here.

Looking forward to seeing your mask! Go into whichever area you plan to post the thread (costumes, props, etc) and near the upper left of the list of existing threads is a post new thread button. Hope this helps!

Hi, my name is Lore, or on the internets anyway. IRL, people know me as Lau, and I am from the Netherlands.

I've been lurking on here on and off for the past few years, just looking at all this amazing stuff people here build.
About a year and a half I got into cosplaying, and lots of characters have or need props that make them stand out more (or sometimes apparently are even needed to recognize the character at all). So I mostly came here to see if others have done props that I might need/want to build myself, and just learn from all their amazing work. And well, hopefully end up making some cool stuff myself, too.

Hi guys. My name is Mike and I am from Kansas. I am really new to Cosplay. I was referred here by some people at cosplay.com and hopefully some here can help me figure out what the heck I am doing! LOL. I have done a couple of Costumes but nothing really involved. My first costume was Steve from Minecraft and I actually placed 3rd (people's choice) in the contest which was quite surprising. But now I am off on a tangent thinking I can take on more difficult costumes. And learn new techniques to me that most of you all know too well. I am a NOOB with a plan and hoping to make some sense along the way LOL.

Hello all. Very new to this style of costuming. I used to do special effects make up in theatre. Long time now. Was turned into this site by a friend that does cosplay. He does mostly predator stuff very good at it. Sent me here for ideas to play with.
So have started with an HD war machine armor set. Been very time consuming with an 18 month old. Will post as I go.
