Hello everyone, my name is Jacopo and I am a Italian Prop Maker.
I'm glad to have known this forum where I can share with you my work and be able to admire your own.

Good luck to all and sorry for my bad english.

Hey there my name's Sabryna and I've been cosplaying for about a year now, but haven't been very serious about it until recently. I'm a big Marvel fan, specifically Captain America, and I just finished making a Winter Soldier costume. Now I'm about to start putting together a Star Lord for the premiere.

Here's my Winter Soldier:

Hi everyone,

Can I just say that I am amazed all the work on this forum is ,wow. I heard about the form at Phoenix Comic Con on the panel done by Holly Conrad and Bill Doran.
Every year we see more amazing costumes and props and well I have three children that now all want to cosplay but lucky me they are all perfectionist wanting there costumes to look right. Now a days that means props. So I'm here to learn as much as possible to help them and myself take our costuming to the next level.
I've been sewing since a was little , which was a long time ago. As I tell my children no I did not go to school with dinosaurs but I did have to go to a library or comic book store to look at costume ideas I could not just bring is up on google.
My children are 11 and under. All have there own area of Cosplay that they enjoy and I am happy to help them out.
Thank you for offering such an incredible place to find info.

Hi everyone! My name's Patrick, and I'm from North Carolina. Just recently got into costuming and creating props after beginning to date someone who cosplays regularly. We're headed to Dragon Con this year, and I have a few projects set for that. My main focus for it is a sith/fallen jedi character, modeled after a few different styles of characters from SWTOR and Tales of the Jedi.
I registered a few weeks ago but have been swamped with work and other things, so sorry for the delayed intro. Hope everyone is doing well!

Hi everybody!
I've spent more time than I can admit on this website than any other, to look for advices and references. Until today it's been very helpful for the newbee I am!
So now i'm willing to join the community to learn even more, and also share what i've learnt and came through.

Hi everyone!

I'm a 16 year old from the U.S. and I got into this site from Adam Savage and the Tested YouTube channel. I am into video game props and sci-fi ones so everything from ironman's Mk III to Daedric bows. I've made a few things mostly out of paper and foam due to my lower budget for my props. I've made a couple paper G18's from Modern Warfare 2 and made a very rough Scorpion mask from five deadly venoms with foam. Years ago I used to watch a YouTube series called Backyard FX and every week or so they would show how to make a different prop or an original prop on a cheap budget. I'm glad to be a part of this great and diverse community!

Hey guys
Name is Jackson!
Really interested into sci fi and medieval things!

Trying to get some final fantasy props made which will be sick for my cosplay in November :)

hope to hear from you all soon :)

Hullo, name's Matt. Realized I haven't said hi yet, just started posting a build thread.

I'm into sci-fi, fantasy, anime, comics, etc. I enjoy working on props mostly, though I do costuming as well. I also work on robotics.

And now for a few images of things I've worked on or built for myself.

Winter Soldier. Coat is leather (wife made it) and the arm is worbla.

Loki from Avengers. Armor is metal. Staff is 3d printed and controlled by an Arduino. Helmet is pepakura (wife took the time to fold the paper, I did the rest) with some 3d printed stabilizers.

Modified nerf gun as Death Ray. Wired with LEDs in the barrel and a smoke system in the body. When the trigger is pulled, a fan activates and pumps the fog out a tube in the barrel to 'fire' the weapon.

Sword for a friend. Wood and copper painted gold.

Aerith's Flower Basket, Final Fantasy VII for wife. Simple LED Christmas lights inside of plastic balls. Balls have a layer of frosting paint and are filled with pillow stuffing as a diffuser.

Vash the Stampede from Trigun. The gun is balsa wood (and my first prop). Gloves have strips of soda cans around the fingers to function as rings.

How's everyone doing! I'm Jon, but find me under DialMforMaldo on here and Instagram!

I just started out in the cosplay/prop hobby, but I'm really anxious and looking forward to growing and improving! I have always been into crafting and art, this is just a new way to channel that.

I will be attending Wizard World Philly this weekend and showing off my first creation. Can't wait! Anyway, looking forward to hearing from some of you and until then, take care!

Hey Guys,

Just now getting around to introducing myself. My name is Patrick. I joined the RPF because I am starting a DL-44 build, but I am also into all kinds of sci-fi, and some anime etc. I enjoy making short films of my own, which has recently gotten me into some basic prop-making and costume/set design, but I like the level of specificity and attention to detail found on this forum. I'll be posting a build thread for my DL-44 when I get around to taking some photos. Thanks for having me!

hello, i'm terry. i'm new to the forum. i'm a toy collector, and sci-fi junkie, but my interest really lies in star trek props. drop me a line, and say hello!

Hello all,
I have been lurking around this site for months like some sort of degenerate and decided it was high time that I actually properly joined in on all the fun.
I primarily sew stuff, I also make stuff and also create lots of pretty coloured stuff which goes in the wardrobe and no-one gets to see. Obviously costumes are a big thing for me and I happy with historical right through to sci-fi and fantasy creations. I am keen to feed my addiction and I'm hoping that there is at least one person on this forum who is keen to do that. :p

Hello all my name is Mike...I'm new to the group and I'm working on my first pepakura cosplay design of the War Machine suit. Thanks for having me and I ask that you please be patient with me be cause I will have a lot of questions during the building process of my suit.

Welcome to all!

Some really great stuff that you guys and gals are showing! :thumbsup

Good evening folks,

I have long known about RPF and just never got around to making it on here. I have been a member of the 501st and Rebel Legions for several years and I have recently started working on some ODST armor and potentially finally and Iron Man costume. I am having a lot of fun now that I have finally started to branch out a bit. Here doing quite a bit of research at the moment on several new costumes I'm interested in. I guess if anyone is interested in some of my rigs, I can list some photos here:

Old Republic Havoc Trooper: Complete 02/13

Sith Acolyte (Current Build)

ODST (Current Build)

Looking forward to learning more as I go along!
