How goes it everybody.

I am new here and I was told I needed a hobby and I've always been into Comics and Anime. I've always wanted to cos-play but always was stand-offish about it. I've been perusing the site for sometime researching and looking at the various Tuts. I can say that I look forward to posting my WIP's.

I've done some modeling work....in cakes. My wife is a baker and I've molded all her shaped cakes and helped with her Fondant/gum paste/Molding Chocolate figures.

I look forward to putting my builds on here and hopefully be a contributor of awesomeness!!!

My future builds include:
Ultimate Iron Man-For Myself
Iron Man MK3-For my son
War Machine-For my son
Pepper Potts Rescue-My wife.
(hopefully I am not biting off more than I can chew....but I'm a glutton for punishment anyways.)

Hey everyone, my name is Manoah and I just recently became fascinated with movie replica/props. I have collected Star Wars my whole life but also love Indiana jones, LOTR/The Hobbit, Harry Potter, and pirates of the Caribbean. Those are my movie passions but I love all kinds of movies. I have done a few builds and love it but wouldn't trust myself with anything to crazy;) I'm a big collector though so I'm sure I will be dumping some of my paycheck a off in so e of you guys bank accounts;). I'm working on a master collection of all my fav movies for my wife and my future movie collection room that we will ha e in our future new house. Can't wait to dig in and see what is out there. I joined the RPF because i really liked the info i can find here for making props and costumes.
The reason i found this site because i started making an iron man costume. And right here... info overload!!

My name is Pete. Most of my friends are RPF members, so I thought it was time for me to become a member. I'm a Star Wars costumer and Rebel Legion member. I love costuming and plan to do other costumes in the near future. I know RPF will point me in the right direction with getting things started.

Hello I'm joshua I just signed up for the rpf still trying to figure this place out I'm a prop builder I do all kinds of props star wars props and costume I recently finished my storm trooper suit so that was a big accomplishment.......ummmmmm I don't really know anyone here also if any of you live in texas let me know it would be really cool to meet some of you guys at comic con

Chris Baker - I'm a former Army Scout/Sniper, separated from the military a few years ago. I have a degree in Industrial Design but never had the chance to use my degree within my occupation.

So I Make.

I build whenever I have free time. Making props for games, Sculpting in Bronze, Wood, or Stone, Sewing costumes or clothing, or just building things for my home. I found the RPF a little while ago and joined, but never followed up until now. I hope to contribute to the awesomeness of these forums. They really are awesome. I love having ability to follow so many threads of great builds and hope to contribute by starting and finishing a few of my own.

Just signed up because of the mask being done by the member "wolf;" he is currently making a mask based on the movie THX 1138, one of my favorite films. I do not make props myself—or anything relating to the craft—but appreciate all the creativity being shown here by the talented members. Lot's of great stuff to look at!

Hi everyone, I´m new making any props and this is my first helmet ever, and I want to move on to the next stage. -Making the mold- I want to make it of fiber glass, but I want yo askyou how to make the division and if I need to paint the model with Gelcoat first.

So I'm not someone that actually dresses up in costume or even makes costumes.
My 3 year old daughter had inspired me to make her a potentially epic iron man costume and through my extensive searching for any sort of assistance with crafting and finishing I have landed myself here.
I have not started the project yet and after I get started I may quickly give up or become so utterly obsessed that I may continue making armor for everyone I know.
There's really nothing left to say so I'll leave it at that.

Hi all,

My name is Jim, I'm new to EVA Foam Costume building and would love to build one of the armors from the new Iron Man movie. I've always been into Cosplay and going to ComicCon every year dressed up as my favorite heros and Star Trek characters. Last year I went as Captain Picard but this year I thought I would try my hand in something new. So if anyone has any "Pointers" for a beginner like and any help you can give me would be very well appreciated. Maybe someone can help me find the file to help me build the Mark 42 Armor from Iron Man 3? I'm happy to join the site and hope to hear from the veterans soon. Thanks.

well I have officially began, and am 3/4 done with my predator helmet!! I am absolutely IN LOVE with this stuff!! hoping my helmet is cured enough to sand/paint tomorrow. dang rainy weather is slowing my fiberglass curing to a crawl :-/ I will get some pics up ASAP.

I would like to get involved in making some sort of small prop but i don't know what yet. I've never made any thing before, so if some one knows of some thing easy to start and practice on that would be ace, please let me know.

Hello,

My name is David Ishida, I am from Minnesota, where I just graduated from Augsburg College about a year ago. I am a filmmaker and co-founder of a video production company; Intersection Studios. I don't really have any props right now. Being a college graduate I am very poor. But as I become more financially stable, I will start making props. Some of my favorite movies and TV shows include Star Trek, Star Wars, LOTR, Indiana Jones, Stargate, Mythbusters, Firefly and Doctor Who.

I was first pointed to the RPF by Adam Savage in one of his videos from Tested.com. Some of the first things I want to learn is some of the basic prop fabrication skills, as well as the correct tools for various tasks.

I hope to learn a lot and I look forward to interacting with all of you soon.

I've decided to build a Colonial Marine armor myself, starting from Pepakura and I thought I could bother some experts in asking tips and suggestion.
