New fallout DLC out today

So, the newest one is better than Dead Money and Honest Hearts?

I did pick up the Fallout 1 and 2 over the weekend. Man, this is taking some getting used to with the system. I am not liking the controling here. I did manage to watch a speed run on youtube that was done in 10 minutes start to finish of game...

Tips for old world blues (I finished it except for a few missions and except for one or two you can go back after returnign to the mohave any time you want)
1) you need Int of at least 7 for one
2) raise barter up high (max it if you can)
3) raise the heck out of science
4) raise the heck out of speech
5) you don't really need it but a good repair level helps

I liked this one better than the others also look EVERYWHERE. I got the perk that unlocked all map locations and that's good because they all have items you need and/or terminals with information that actually ties into the other DLCs going all the way back to the first one.

Actually there are weapons there that beat those. I actually made due with the axe that the enemies carry most of the time but my character had amp'd melee combat skills.
Watch out for tons of old scifi references including a few names. The story is mostly exploring and finding links to the other DLCs and stuff in the NV world and the end (not sure if you can choose sides) is tragic fitting a old 50s movie. It sure has more humor than the other games. By far this is my favorite even if it gets tedious at times.

Nope. You get to keep all your gear. You do have to reequip your armor and weapons. Oddly enough i woke up and my power armor helmet was still on lol

I barely got through the first talking part last night. It was funny at first, but after about 10 mins. I was silently pleading for no more sex or penis jokes! Who wrote this a 13 year old? :lol

lol. Most of the jokes about sex are done, there's some not so subtle ones when you talk one on one with the female brain but other than that it's over with. Still i'm glad to have some humor back in a fallout game. I'm slowly working through dead money now, i wish people would make written walk throughs these days for those of us with no pc near the blasted comp. I'm wondering how many kids will get any of the references to scifi movies in the new dlc like dr mobius and the forbidden zone. I still laugh at the penis jokes just because it's over the top and they seem a bit looney. At the end they explain the over the top dialogue.
right now my complaint about dead money is there was a buttload of guests and not all of them could have become ghost people so where are all the corpses? you only find a few here and there and it's not raelly as spooky as an ancient tomb should be. I also found out that either in the fallout universe the h=bomb never was created or was rarely used with WW2 era atom bombs being the main weapon.

Just started, but it's pretty neat so far.
Loved the "Wolverines" sign on the High School Wall.

I think this will be a fun one like Mothership Zeta.

At first I thought the bad guy was voiced by the guy who did Ice King on adventure time but it isn't but he sounds the same when ranting lol.

Man, I just realize I still haven't finished most of the DLC from Fallout 3. I think I'm gonna keep holding off on New Vegas until a "Game of the Year" edition is released with everything and there's some kind of Steam sale for it.

I had to restart last night turns out if you screw up hacking the computer in the casino to unlocked the electrical closet you're SOL unless you have the 2nd chance perk. 75 hours down the drain x.x

Edit: Also if you have the DLCs installed and create a new character there are new perks available to take during creation. One of them is called Logan's loophole and the character in the pic next to the description is dressed like a Sandman since it deals with you hitting level 30.

Did anyone notice in Old World Blues the part about...

the harness that reanimates corpses? They mention testing them at the Sierra Madre, so that might be what the Ghost People are. Just dead people that are still animated by the harnesses.

I'm really enjoying OWB. I'm actually thinking about building the Proton Axe and Protonic Inversal Axe.

I don't know why 3 into the DLCs they did so well on this one but it's generally more fun for some reason. Maybe it had a different writer.

Edit: fun bit of trivia. Dr O's voice actor is also Dr venture on venture bros.

Interesting... I kinda felt The Book of Eli was Fallout: The Movie. It wasn't as "fun" and didn't have the Enclave, Power Armor, etc. but it did have that same feeling. I thought the town trying to reconstitute civilization dealt with some of the same moral issues some of the Fallout 3 missions did (in that kind of situation, can the individual be set aside for the whole of The Many?).

HA!

Has anyone noticed that, when fighting the harness characters, they're skelatons in space suits? And they randomly say "Hey! Who turned out the lights?"

CLASSIC!!!!
