New fallout DLC out today

I had to reload the DLC to when I talked to Daniel to have it work right. I think there are a lot of bugs in this one. Joshua kept shooting at me, so maybe if you reload before you meet Joshua it will work. BTW, find the Survivalist's rifle it's awesome.

Something I noticed with the Desert Ranger armor was that it says something about Ssgt. Vicker USMC on the front. So apparently this type of armor was used by the U.S. military as well as the LAPD.

I never saw that gun. Well the ranger's pieced together their uniforms from whatever they could find. All the armor worn on the strip by soldiers are prewar riot suits. New Vegas as a whole is full of bugs. They always start potentially interesting things then leave them open ended and never full fill them later on. I would have loved for The Burned Man to give you a special message for Caesar like the other guy did for Veronica in the last DLC.

Right, even though i moaned about the DLC, i went back and played it again this afternoon. I wanted to do the alternate path ending. I still didn't enjoy it even though i took the time to explore all the caves and stuff...(well, most of them...) It just felt so ABC....and that Chalk Indian guy was really getting on my nipple ends.

How about something involving a rogue faction of the BOS...somrthing with a bit of Sci-fi tech to it? Maybe with an incredible piece of armour as reward for something....

I don't know....excuse me while i knock this snake out of my boot......

ROLL ON SKYRIM!!!!!!

They did this with Fallout 3 too when they have you hunting the android for the commonwealth. All i could think of was it was some high tech utopia up north and with a name like Commonwealth I thought maybe it was in PA somewhere. I was severely disappointed by the Pitt DLC for it too. You have all of Downtown Pittsburgh you could explore and they give you like 4 city blocks.
I was expecting there to be a vault or something in this DLC since it's a remote area where they could introduce an entirely new faction fighting to reclaim the surface. Heck I'd have been happy if you'd found a clone of the Master and his super mutant army or a robot army like in Fallout Tactics.

This tells where to find the Survivalist's Rifle: Survivalist's Rifle - The Vault, the Fallout wiki - Fallout: New Vegas and more If you missed it, you missed the last writings he did.

I liked the Pitt as far as the environment, but yeah it was pretty confined.
I'm still hoping that one of the upcoming DLCs will have a base exploration. I'm pretty sure that the Old World Blues DLC deals with the Big Empty. So hopefully it will have some cool tech. I really liked going into the abandoned military bases in Fallout 2, so hopefully it will be more like that.

I hope at some point we see the Commonwealth because of what we heard in Fallout 3. So far it seems like New Vegas and the DLCs are staying pretty close to what they wanted to do with Van Buren. They don't seem to want to stray to far from that.

That's because they don't have to do much work, they can just use the stuff Interplay already had written lol. I'd like to see you find a base that nobody's been in for 200 years with tons of journals to read and stuff like that. like i said i have a fascination with the journals and stories of what it was like during the war when it comes to post apocalyptic. it always seems more exciting that the events going on.

I started a new game a couple of weeks back thinking that the new DLC would come out by the time I finished it... So I've been going back around hitting places I missed or getting unique weapons I missed. I decided to try and get a high roller suite at the Tops because I made a character with higher luck. Anyway I got it and went into the suite to see if there was anything useful there. I was in the bathroom and one of the Chairmen guards flung the door open and said "Ring a ding baby!" :lol My first thought was I'm glad I wasn't using the bathroom! So far that's the only thing in this game that made me laugh out loud.

I wonder how long we're going to have to wait for Old World Blues. There's only two weeks left in June, so I don't know if they are waiting until the last week or what.

They're releasing them close together. I better stock up on points. I'm going to have to get a card as i deleted my credit card info in case live gets hacked next. I wish they'd do a fallout prequel during the bombs falling where you take part in the adventures of various groups like the BOS pilgrimage and such.

I just want a post apocalyptic game that would span generations. I wish someone would remake the old 90s PC ones like Wasteland (created by the makers of the first 2 Fallouts who now have the rights back) or Badblood. Even if it was just a VR mission liked the alaska one in fallout 3 it would be cool to get to fight with the BOS during the war and/or other major events.

That would be cool. I hate how they act like you are a member of BoS in the Fallout games, but then they don't treat you like you are. You can't do many, if any, missions for them. Another one I thought would be cool would be to be a BoS soldier during the Scourge in The Pitt. I really liked that environment and it was a shame we only got a tiny bit in that DLC. I actually like the sim/Operation Anchorage idea. You could join the BoS, but then have to go through sims for training based on major battles or events in BoS history.

I was so ticked off that they bothered to build such a detailed version of pittsburgh but didn't show it off, plus they had everything scrunched together. The place the leader had his kid was the cathedral of learning which is like 20 minutes or more by bus from downtown in Oakland by the colleges. it's like they got the areas all jumbled. I know it's an alternate history but nobody would put a steel plant that close to downtown like it is in the game.

No announcement today about Old World Blues. I'm taking that as a bad sign because they usually announce it the week before release.

I'm not that enthused about the DLC for this game and it's sad considering some of the guys who worked on it did the first two. Maybe bethesda's got them on short leashes. The DLC for Fallout 3 seemed much better. The new BTTF episode should be out this week or next. Despite all the b*tching and moaning about that game on the company's board I liked it and wish they'd do another if for no other reason to keep our fellow RPFer working.

Naw i was talking about AJ and with luck them giving him more work as marty in the future. Well gives me a bit longer to come up with cash lol

I'm actually holding out till all of FNV DLC has been released. It seems that Bethesda is trying to link all of the DLC together with an event that has something to do with a carrier who refused to take on a job after he saw your player character's name on the list. I'd much rather play every thing in one go than go back to do it all over again for everyone that's released. I've beaten this game almost five times so I'm looking forward to a huge chunk of new content.

My wishful thinking is that we will get to see Sgt. Dornan. She was freaking epic.

By the looks of it that missing courier had a much larger role at one point. i keep finding more documents on the original version of Fallout 3 that is being turned into NV and there is so much stuff that Interplay had planned that hasn't been touched. So far the DLC have been okay. i haven't finished the first one as the holograms keep handing my butt to me and the last one was so short it isn't funny. Hopefully there are two more since they did 4 for fallout 3.

I replayed Dead Money and I like the story and environment (minus running repeatedly through the same areas...), but the Ghost People sucked. The holograms aren't too bad if you have high sneak skill and can find/disabled the holo-emitters.

My problem is that I like background stories and they ghost people kinda of let you hanging. I know they mentioned that the suits they used would seal for good when that gas (which they never explained yet) hit them so i'm assuming the folks inside are a ghoul of some sort but why would they become so violent unless the gas caused a new type of feral ghoul.
