New fallout DLC out today

I'm surprised they didn't offer those sooner. I got the tribal pack with my preorder on amazon and it wasn't that cool. The vault 13 one looked much neater.

If that's all it is I'd be p*ssed! I got the mercenary package when I preordered and other than the armor it was useless. You get a grenade launcher that basically explodes at your feet whenever you try to fire it at distance. :lol The first time I played I was near Goodsprings where all the cazadors are. I kept getting killed so I thought "Time for the big gun" and proceeded to fire the mercenary rifle at them. Killed myself when my envisioned 25yd. shot exploded three feet away.

I was telling another member I think bethesda had obsidian on a leash making this as at least 2 guys working on this worked on fallout 2. Knowing bethesda they don't want the franchises anymore alike than need be and they're already tearing apart the original script for fallout 3 for their fallout games.

C'mon Wes! I was expecting a big write up of Lonsome Road's pros+cons!!!!

Anyhoo...played it, completed it, found it to be just more of the same.....all the NV DLC has lacked a certain spark.....

Lonesome Road was very by the numbers stuff. Basically fight your way to the end, make a choice, run away, that's it.....

....Oh, and let's not forget the tedious tasks of trying to find "x" number of something to unlock achievements....

Roll on Skyrim.

I haven't gotten to lonesome road yet. I just started lonely hearts and no sooner than i try to leave the area where you meet the burned man it freezes, every time. Never did it until i installed lonesome road. I think Bethesda's trying to kill the franchise, they should just sell it back to Tim Cain and the original creators. I am thinking of trying Rage when it hits.

I don't do achievements. It's just some annoying @*#$ that pops up and makes me remember I'm playing a game. It's ridiculous feelgood feedback. I mean you practically get an achievement for installing the game. I'm supposed to be playing the level, why give me an achievement for finishing a level I HAVE TO PLAY?!?

As for LR, like I told Wes earlier, it all felt like the same old same old. The SMMG was basically a 10mm FIDO from OWB. Ulysses was just annoying and his voice made me want to shoot him. I kept wanting it to be over so I could play something else.

I'm still blaming bethesda lol. They need to give the rights back to the creators for fallout 4 and stop this FPS crap and give us an old school RPG. that or port the original games to XBL so we can download them for 400 points. I'd seriously pay good money for that.

I never played the originals, however, i do like the FPS usage in Fallout and Elder scrolls.....just makes me feel more involved.

I'm actually really looking forward to Rage, it looks like a serious, grown up version of Borderlands.

I hope it's better than borderlands, it was horrid. I'm just tired of FPS being the flavor of the month and RPGs getting ignored. I guess it's cause i'm an older gamer I still prefer old school styles lol.

I aint no spring chicken myself!

I quite liked Borderlands, yeah it was pretty mindless, and the constantly respawning enemies were tiresome.

I like my action RPG style games to transport me and submerge me in the fantasy world. It's basically an exciting escape from the unceasing grey, spiralling morass of misery and despair that is my day to day existence.:unsure

I played Fallout 3 before the others so I'm kind of biased that way. Somehow I missed the first two when they came out (I've played them since). I'd play either style of game. I think that FPS makes the exploration more real though. With the isometric turn based style you feel detached from the game. So role-playing wise FPS might make more sense. I just want some more stories about the BoS or Enclave. Maybe have the next game cast you as an actual BoS or NCR soldier who is tasked with finding out where the Enclave Remnant went? That would let you go to some of the areas in the first two games.

I'd even be happy to see other parts of the Fallout world to see what happened in other countries. I'd really love to see one where you survive before/during/after the war with your choices deciding what happens to you such as becoming a ghoul, raider, vault dweller somehow, or a super mutant.

Just finished Lonesome road. Way too short and probably the worst one so far. I will leave it at that so as not to ruin it for those who have yet to finish it.

thomas;)

I totally agree.

The Gun Runners Arsenal is out too. It's pretty much like some mods that's already available. For $3.99 though what the heck. It's 100 times better than Lonesome Road IMO. Heck I'd be happy just with the explosive .50 cal rounds. They are fu-un! :lol

i might get the vault dweller preorder set but i'm hour of live points at the moment. i still have to finish lonesome road and dead money. dead money i kinda liked other than the annoy as hell ghost people (who do look awesome). There is so many things that never got used in Fallout 2 and the originally planned Fallout 3 that i think you guys would like that I don't know why bethesda isn't using them unless they plan on using the original ideas for games until they run out of the paperwork. I mean you go onto the vault wiki page and there is a buttload of places and groups not used yet including new factions like ghouls who can reproduce.

Look at all the stuff under the vanburren area bethesda's using. I am kinda hoping for fallout online but not sure i want to deal with 12 year olds being little jerks.

I started Lonesome Road, actually i think i'm halfway done, and while i'm not fond of the story and such I love the setting. To me the Divide looks like what a Post apocalyptic game is. Problem with the fallout games is you have to remember their universe has 1950s sci fi physics so things don't happen realistically and apparently nobody made a hydrogen bomb in their universe as all you see is WW2 era nuclear bombs.

Haha. Nice. I do like one thing other than the setting for Lonesome Road: you can choose how to end it and each one gives you a new area to explore and one gives you a Planet Of The Apes weird wasteland event.
