New fallout DLC out today

I finished Old World Blues yesterday.
This is in my opinion the best DLC for Fallout NV so far, looking forward to Lonesome Road next.

The nice thing is that you can return after finishing the storyline and some creatures re-spawn makes a good way to collect some high end energy weapons.

The sink makes for a perfect player base after applying all the upgrades.

HA!

Has anyone noticed that, when fighting the harness characters, they're skelatons in space suits? And they randomly say "Hey! Who turned out the lights?"

CLASSIC!!!!

Makes you wonder if they made the space suits at that base or they just took existing ones and turned them into armor suits. I want to know what's holding the skulls onto the ones without a helmet. I'm assuming a super detailed one would have wiring and other stuff hooked to it. That facility sure loves suits of armor that talks.

I just wish it would cool down some so i could run my xbox a bit longer to get back to this area, i have a long road ahead as i'm only level 9 with a ton of exploring to go.

Before playing OWB, you might want to level your character up to level 16 or 18, and max out your weapons skills. The recommended level for playing OWB is 15. If you go in at level 9 your likely to get in trouble really quick.

Actually I finished it the day it came out but i went back to play dead money and screwed up so now i have to redo teh entire game. i was at level 35 with 75 hours in the game :cry

Just capped myself at 45 again and not yet done with OWB. Still looking for tapes to reactivate stuff in the Sink.

Anyone else notice that OWB seems very generous with exp? I mean i had my character to where she got a ton of extra exp thanks to the perks i took but still it seemed that the enemies gave you tons.

My thoughts exactly. It was no effort to hit 45. I have to say that i quite enjoyed this DLC, mainly the outdoor bits......i loved the wide outdoors exploration of F3. I really didn't dig the whole ultra repetetive nature of a couple of the quests.....kept going, "what, AGAIN?" Always feels like filler to me. Some robots and creatures had names, like they were important, but were never referenced in the narative of the game....

This was the last DLC, right?

Yeah, I just finished it last night. It seemed really REALLY short though. Don't get me wrong, it was good, but I kinda had a "is that it????" feeling.

I agree. I get the bonus XP as one of the first things. I'm already level 15 and i'm only like 10 hours in. My technique for powering up is roaming the map from bottom to top until i can unlock all the locations on the map. It levels you up really quick. I have to make sure to get all the storylines for the helpers this time.

Game caps at 30, each DLC adds 5 levels to the cap, this is the third, so I'm at 45 now.

One of the Perks I always get is the bonus XP, it pays off over time.

After getting OWB, I did notice it mention +5 to the cap. Guess I answered my own question when I started. So far, I am loving the DLC. Especially the whole talk in the beginning. I did notice a graphics glitch a couple times inside(which doesn't always repeat in the same areas).

My only complaint(which is a general complaint to NV) is the lag. I swear, I feel like I am playing on my old windows 95 PC sometimes. That was something that they should of figured out when they made the game. Even 3 isn't as bad, but NV, I have seen more and more issues. Especially my second time through the game, I get anywhere near the east side of the map, by the Dam, and it just gets all sorts of glitchy. I've only had a few occurances thus far in OWB, and they were real bad. I may never understand how they would not see this issue during testing the whole game. Hell, even from 3, they had how much time between game releases?

Oh, and that toaster...:lol

Do you have it on PC? mine felt like that with fallout 3 on a new pc. it's why i got a 360 but it still does a glitch like that at times. You also see objects and body parts either move around on their own or hang in mid air. It's a very glitchy game.

I have it for PS3. I've already found a "reason" to why it does it, at least this is what everyone is saying. Because the save file is so huge, it is a lot to have to load, it comes down to having to remember everything you have done, even to what you did or didn't loot. Now, considering I haven't seen game issues like this on PS3, 360 or any other system that isn't this game, I just don't get it. The consoles really have no excuse to have these problems.

I only have it happen once in a while and it's done it on another game, i think it was Mass effect 2 due to some glitch with rendering so much at once.
Just for fun this explains why the vaults in the original 2 games look different than the new ones plus other info. not much in the way of spoilers as it just explains the vaults.

BTW, I found... (armor spoiler)

the hazmat suit and helmet that look like the ones the Ghost People wear in Dead Money. Cool outfit, but what am I going to do with something with poison protection afterI've already played Dead Money?!?! The one part where you'd need it you can't use it. :confused
