Thanks David3...I wish I could afford a real Hugyfot housing for a Hasselblad 500 C serie from 1961. That "photographer" in the scene was always fascinating.

There's some speculation that it was Clarke's personal underwater housing as he was an avid underwater explorer and photography back home in then Ceylon. At least I imagine he probably mentioned it to Kubrick suggesting it would be perfect as a moon camera.
