movies you like that everyone else hates

Pirates 4 was beyond terrible, but it was better than Pirates 3.

I actually liked the first and second one though.

The Conan movies are great with his Commentary on too. He's got a weird and wicked sense of humor.
Yeah the Conan commentary is great too :thumbsup Can't help wondering where his PR people were during the audio edit for T3:
"since we establish she is a robot I can smash her head in the toilet even though she is a woman" not a direct quote but thats the flavor :facepalm:lol
on screen: "she'll be back"
on commentary "it's a funny line because as you'll see she will be back"
Gotta love the govenator! :)

Dead or Alive. Smokin' hot babes, over the top martial arts, Eric Roberts showing up to collect a paycheck. What's not to like?

Dukes of Hazzard (movie)
- comedic failure but has great stunt footage. another guilty pleasure.
I thought the movie was far better than the television series. But then, I thought the series was pure rubbish except for the General Lee and the eye candy that is Catherine Bach, so take my opinion for what it's worth. :cool

The old TV show still has a huge loyal fanbase today. That factor alone should have gotten it a straightforward faithful remake. The dollars all pointed in that direction.

The early episodes of the TV show were darker & more realistic than most of the series. They could have patterned the remake after those episodes and kept it watchable for the modern teen audience.

All three of the Starship Trooper movies. They are wonderful satire and social commentary, on everything from democracy to militarism to religion. The movies are entirely different from the fascist-apologia theme of Heinlein's books.

Terminator#3
- not worthy of #1-2 but had good points.

Gone in 60 Seconds (remake)
- lacks the purity of the original but it's a guilty pleasure.
.

I loved that movie! I think it's good fun, despite not being a Nike Cage fan.

I loved Sucker Punch, and Batman & Robin for certain moments, Starship Troopers (my ex haaaated it).

You're really not missing much watching the second two. The third was really atrocious. I'd like to see the first one remade as they could actually do the powered armor that was so much a part of the book, but they couldn't do in the original due to technology limits.

For me it is pretty much ALL movies. I am extremely easily entertained and i am able to look at a movie for what it is and enjoy it. people in my opinion overthink movies to much.

RoboCop 2 ..it was my first 18's (r-rated) movie ..i was 12 saw it at the cinema too!
McGruber .. i dont know if everyone hates it but has anyone seen it even?
Transformers..1-3 ....they are dumb as rocks i know but I enjoyed them and can watch them over and over
Alien 3... under-rated i reckon
