Movies that need a Director's Cut

Having come across a few youtube videos I began pondering what certain films would be like if they had the Director's Cut or the unrated cut released now to compare them to the trimmed down, studio dictated version we got instead.

Heard that Tank Girl could have been very different and heard that Predator 2 got about 20 minutes and more gory scenes cut out of it. Would actually be interested to see how they would be like if we got the versions the directors wanted to make.

I've heard the studio slashed and burned David Ayer's cut of Suicide Squad, and I think there's probably a better movie hiding underneath those edits.

What about movies that DON’T NEED a Director’s Cut but DO have one (or more):

Case in point: “Star Wars: Special Edition” which is the ongoing (several iterations since 1997) George Lucas cut.

Alien3 Fincher cut. If he never got to shoot it his own way to begin with.

This was the first movie that came to mind seeing the thread name.
I wonder, had he got to do it completely how he envisioned it, how different it would be all together.

Alien3 does have an extended cut that works a little better.

I should have specified my original post with movies where the director finished or had a cut they were satisfied with and then the studio came and butchered it. Basically talking about movies where we can actually get an actual director's cut of the movie if the studios wanted to release it.

I actually forgot that I had bought he 9 disc DVD set to the 4 Alien films from someone back in 2006. It does that the Aliens 3 Special Edition. I haven't seen the film it in like 18 years, so not sure which version I even watched...although probably was the Special Edition.
I know David Fincher almost quit making moves altogether because of the horrible production. But then we wouldn't have a movie like Seven or Fight Club, so glad he didn't quit.

I forgot how the original trailer for Rogue One was like 90%ish different from the final product.
I never did find out why all that happened. But guessing it was a studio vs the director type thing, like usual.

And to see a cut of Solo, even unfinished, as how Lord and Miller were going about it.

TMP needed it because it was never finished to begin with. The rest of them for better or worse were finished more or less as the directors intended and should be left alone.

From what I remember hearing about the 'Solo' shoot, the Lord & Miller cut was probably nothing to write home about.
