Thanks! The divots are really easy to make. I had a set of old 2 in 1 Snap pliers that i used to fly through it. gotta be careful not to push to hard or you'll pop a hole in the sintra.

Here's an update guys.


Gauntlet all put together. Once I get my fiance to tighten the laces they'll be a bit snugger fitting. A pop rivet and some paint away from being totally done.:ninja

Shins assembled + a tabi. The white tabi boots came today along with the ninja undersuit. I dyed the boots with black and tried to get it as gray as possible. Im digging the way they came out, especially the toes. I have some paint to fix where some pop rivets were needed. I get some great knee and ankle movement. just need to attach the back and straps. 1 more trip to the hardware store and i can call the shin guards totally done.

This is the hood that came with the suit, I like the shape so im just going to use it as a template and have a friend of mine sew me one outta a leather or similar material. Same goes with the under shirt and tabards. after I get the custom hood, tabards and undershirt, those little buckles on the chest and other parts, I'll suit up and start stress testing this beast.

kinda creeped me out at first...i think its the eyes..

Here's an update..pardon my mess.

Well where do I start.. I finished the shins, unless i decide to change the way they strap together, and make some adjustments to the back plates sizes. uhhhmm finished the back.. and repainted everything.

I guess now all I'm waiting on is the custom tabards, hood and undershirt and I'll take some pics all suited up, doing everyday things as Smoke. :lol

Just realized I need some fingerless gloves too. Oh yeah and a belt.

Here's the back (just noticed iron man is peeking over the torso armor..totally unintentional. Yes he is a pirate.)

Here's the shins. The baggy pants should hide those knee straps...i think.

Can't wait to finish this build.:ninja

Ok so keep in mind I'm missing a few things (gloves, undershirt, belt, leather tabards and hood). Shins fit and feel great. Im changing that gray strap on the knee pads to black. I think it looks pretty cool so far.

lol yeah me and my fiance were joking about my pythons. She calls them garden snakes.

I do need to do some push ups or something. Smoke needs a milk shake.

Im pretty excited about the way its looking. Sending my tabard and hood templates to my friend tomorrow morning. Doesn't help with my arms but its gonna make this suit look even better.

Made the belt today. I used some foam and this nifty little styrofoam cutter. The wire heats up and cuts through the foam. works great for small parts.

After that I made the back and hot glued it all together. I made the strap it's laying on yesterday out of some old bag straps i cut and glued together.

A little bit of paint, glue and a couple chain links later. Yeah I see that spot i missed..i wouldn't worry bout that little guy.

Also talked to the guy making my hood and mask today. Tomorrow morning I should have the tabards, hood and gloves. ::fingers crossed

Made these last night out of a hinge,a nail and a misc brass piece i found. Not super detailed but they will work. i decided to cast them in resin so that it is easier to make a bunch of them.

Went ahead and painted and attached the plate tie hinge things to the armor..looking cooler and cooler every day.

Tabards tomorrow? maybe? cmoon buddy! Its all I need to finish this!

Oh yeah I foamed the thigh plate straps, so now they match the belt.

Now if the guy making my tabards and whatnots would just get off his ace and make them. I can call this thing done. I've been told that I "should" have them tomorrow. :unsure

Thanks man, my resourcefulness will help me survive a zombie apocalypse, no doubt. After I make my fiance's costume, I plan on doing some sculpting, dont know what I'll be sculpting yet, but I wanna do something with clay. I took 2 years of ceramics in colleges, so I need to get some clay and get back in the swing of things. As soon as my tabards and hood get here. I'll suit it all up. I've actually ran out of things to do on this.

Small update...well cause I have nothing else todo..accept wait for the tabards and hood to get done. I was told they would be done by midnight tonight..no call yet.

I got some neoprene from the guy whose making my hood and tabards, when I went over to see what was up with my stuff. I managed to fashion some forearm wraps out of it using some industrial strength velcro (no sewing required). Add two buckles and some fingerless gloves to the gauntlets and viola..Gauntlets done.

Time to get started on the fiances costume. :confused
