If you lived closer I'd say come over! I'm pretty proud of what I've done so far. I think the custom hood and tabards are going to put it over the top. Come to think of it I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it after Halloween. I want a full mannequin to display it on, maybe make a little mk smoke plague for it.

Thanks man! I was just looking for a similar shape at the local ace hardware and once I saw the hinges, I knew I was on the right track. Just had to find the right size and center piece.....plus a super low budget.

Ok folks here's a Smoke update. I recieved a text today saying that "my Tabards are done and they look amazing". Tomorrow I'll pick up those and the hood and snap a buncha photos for you guys and gals. :love

So my fiance finally decided what she wants to be for halloween... a Linage II inspired Dark Elf:love...I have 14 days to pull it off:wacko. I will probably start a new thread on this, I'm just not sure where to put it at. General modeling or Replica Costumes? It's my design, I'm just getting general ideas on different parts from the game, Anyways here's a sneak peak of my next build...

Hey Quake... what brand gloves are you using? They look pretty damn nice with your Smoke setup.

The glove brand is "harbinger". They look like workout gloves. The same guy that is doing my tabards and hood (uhhhhg) gave them to me for this build. He said tomorrow again today. Its starting to sound like a country song, "Tommorrow never comes..."

He told me last night he's been sick and should have them ready today. No word from him yet. Im about to go get what he has done and finish it myself. Im tired of worrying about it. The same guy is supposed to do my fiances sewing too. Uuhhg.

Dude came through!! Picked up the tabards and the the hood. Offered to redo both of them if I wanted but these look great! I'm please with the work. The tabards were made out of a faux leather dyed black and the hood is made out of neoprene. I attached magnets to the inside of the mask and hood to attach it with out having to use a strap. It's late, my fiances a sleep, and I gotta go work on the dark elf a little tonight. Will have some pics taken with the good camera tomorrow.

I'm missing a picture of the magnets attached inside the hood. i just glued em in there.

This is the back tabard piece attached to the belt.

Front and back Tabards attached to the belt. the front tabard is attached with velcro. The back with some pan glue.

Tomorrow I'll take some good pics with the good camera.

Magnets?? How strong are those??? Can you actually kick and punch while wearing magnets and they still hold?? Anyways the guy came through, the tabbard looks awesome

I believe those are Neo-Magnets which they are as strong as you can get.

Thanks man! the magnets I used are pretty strong and thin, I've seen stronger ones out there at there. these that I used, I got these particular ones at walmart in the craft section and they'll work but a magnet that's a little thicker, would be a bit stronger and better. yes, i can kick and punch.

Well currently I'm unfolding Smoke's Armor files so I don't think I'll need the templates you have, btw Quakevirus would you like the pep file for Smoke's cigarettes to go with the costume? It's got a texture on it as well so you don't need to paint it or anything and it can even be built over a empty pack to give it a bit of strength.
