The mysterious first order eh? =p. I've probably been getting progressively more annoying since the release. XD

Can we see some 'in hand' pictures? =)

Can you tell us what order # you were? CT said that the order # wasn't really accurate because it counted every order the site had had cumulatively, so knowing yours would definitely help some of us get an idea where we are in line to help with the anticipation =)

Also "in hand" pictures would be cool, I agree. =P
 
I wish I could help you guys out but I don't remember what order # I was and I deleted the emails, sorry. I think it was in the low 400's? Also, my camera stinks, but mine is the one in the YouTube video I posted yesterday.

I'm order #425 and I was the fourth to order, according to CT. Hope that helps.
 
And I'm 428, so that makes me 9 or 11 I guess? (which is nice, I like Eccleston and Smith)

And Pastor, that video you posted was from CT's account, so are you saying you are CT? (o_O)
 
I see QMx the new Dr Who licence holders have pictures of their vibrating Sonic. Note the colour. Not Heritage Gold!
 
Seriously, it's time to let it die. There's going to be a new licensed sonic, if you're still sore, trade up.
 
Blimey no, I'm not sore at all as I have one of CT's excellent 10th Drs winging its way to me. Arrival due any day, can't wait. I just saw the picture of QMx's Sonic and was commenting on the colour! Guess I should have added a wink ;-)

I think it's valid. There's serious question as to the accuracy of the color on the prop to which this thread is dedicated. The successor to the license has produced the same prop in the color that MFX claims is due to weird lighting every single time it's seen on-screen. Honestly, I think it's a nail in the coffin for MFX on the issue of color. After all, their status as an official licensee was the only thing lending any credibility to the claim that the prop was heritage gold, despite every single frame of it on the show saying otherwise. Now another official licensee of the same prop seems to think otherwise. Are we to assume that QMx was somehow not afforded the same access as all the other licensees?
At this point, I think believing that the original prop was Heritage Gold is pure denial. But then, I guess we'll see how the QMx production model looks. After all, it's called a prototype for a reason.
 
I agree with you, jedibugs. Yeah, this thread has a ton of personal vendettas and such, but it's still about the prop and MFX's replica and it's uncovered the color issue. Like Matt Munson said, things like this can be painful and unpleasant, but ultimately they do better our understanding of the props they're about.
 
When I started this thread i had nooooo idea how heated it would become!:unsure I just wanted info. It's still all gets down to a matter of preference for me.

Just purchased a MFX sonic screwdriver. Should have it "in hand" in a
week - depending on how fast the mail delivery is. (and I love the
Harvest Gold color, so I know I'll be happy with it). :)
