MGC DL-44 Durability?

So, recently I completed one of my ‘Grails’, an ANH DL-44 based off an MGC with DEC Steel parts. It was originally one of the gold wonders, but hours at the bead blasting booth corrected this! The original MGC was in ‘brand new’ condition and had never been fired! Now it’s built, I worry that with its age it’ll fall apart!

My question is, how durable are MGCs? Do people find they break a lot (crack or crumble?) or are they pretty good?

I have no no intention of abusing it, but I don’t want to ruin all my hard work!

Yes. The pot metal is fragile and breaks fairly easily. I've had parts of MGCs crack up on me

What do you reckon is the best course of action? Just display it or will it hold up to being used once and a while for a bit of fun? It seemed to handle all the machining work I carried out on it fine and seems pretty solid to me at this present time.
