Metal Blade Runner PKD Blaster Build

What kind of printer did you print your masters on? I didn't model the grip checkering into my snub blaster because I didn't think my printer at the time could do it without the lines being super obvious in the "valleys" but your grip prints and subsequent casts look amazing!

Are they just 100% Siraya Tech Fast resin? Or do you use another brand/mixture?

My Printer is a Anycubic Photon Mono X and I use Anycubic Grey resin, I did sand them a lot to get the master so shiny but I didn't do anything special to the "valleys". I do use a buffing wheel so I think that helps a little

The Styer cast is a bust, Back to the drawing board on that. In the mean time myself and AndersEFP have been going over some of the finishing details.

He has made a new hammer pin and has reworked his build guide to better reflect this kit.

Wanted to show you all why I decided the Styer mould is a bust.

It may look nice and shiny but the text and detailing isnt very sharp :(

As this is my prototype I decided to build it up anyway as I needed to make sure the fitment is all good

I used Pewter Black as a test on the small parts, Looks nice!

I dont have a mill (I really want one!) so I asked Anders to 3D build a Jig for drilling the holes in the barrel, here is my sketch for that. Its currently printing.

I am by no means a gun expert but, are the makers marks and the serial number stamped on authentic firearms? If so, would that be a viable option?

On the real Styer the serial and proof logos are stamped, all the text is machined. I could replicate that process but its a lot of additional work to replicate correctly on each blaster. All will be well when I make the new mould ;)

If you're doing it Dave it's going to be good and I will purchase one, I've asked you before but please do a metal version of your K Blaster with a bit of movement hammer etc it would be awesome and would sell like hot cakes

I have a K's blaster with moving hammer and working led that needs some refinement, but is very satisfying to 'fire'
It's one of the resin kits from davechaos as sold through tiptop workshop (which are excellent).

I'd love to pass on my method if you were ever thinking of producing such a thing. I also bought x2 extra kits to try to refine, finish and possibly sell on the spares, but am hindered by full time work and life generally.

I'll have to start some sort of post when I start the next one.
