Started the final piece, so close now!

I have also started to clean up all the test casts to make the first prototype.

I have decided that the Barrel with be made on the Lathe out of Aluminium and I also need to remake the Grips as the resin has shrunk over time. I will scale them up a little to compensate for the shrink.

While we wait for the Styer frame mould to set I started to do a final pass of sanding and polishing on some of the parts ready to build the first prototype.

I'm not putting a time on it as I want to get it right, I still have a couple of modifications to do yet before its final but I hope it wont be much longer. I will make an interest thread once I'm ready, I plan to only make them in batches of 5 in advanced before I take any payments.

Epic project, nice work! I think the general rule is that anything thats a cylinder is better off being machined if you can, rather than cast.

To make a claim like that, you really need to have compiled proof and photos to support the statement. That not only helps people here understand what you see, but also will help MODS in deciding if there is anything nefarious going on and if anyone is using a sock puppet account.

What mistakes have I made? I have only had pictures and drawings I could find online to work from - and a lot of help from the Facebook group's off course.... So I'm not claiming that it is 100% accurate, but I have given it my best shot.

First test cast, I need to play with the temperatures to get a cleaner cast but the mould is good!
