Mandalorian Season 3

YES. I hope that’s what they are effectively leading us into for a story.

It would be bizarre to challenge the character’a ideals and morals over two seasons only to have him fall back into the same line of thinking he started with. Personally, I hope he tries to atone, can’t, and then reunites and leads his people under a new compass. Can’t get any more Mandalore than that.

Edit - Like his dislike of droids which has gone away over time, these kinds of developments are interesting to see.

I'm not getting all the disappointment with the kid's helmet.

Firstly, I took it as an obvious FIRST helmet, based on how tightly it fit his pre-pubesent head. That made me think that the visor was much wider & more open to act almost as a training helmet, slowly over time, narrowing the field of vision.

Secondly, they clearly showed the Armorer painting the helmet the matte colors, so with that & no scuffs to show any metal underneath, it didn't look anymore plastic than any other helmet we've seen.

If I'm missing something, LMK.

This is what I thought of when I saw that lead pirate.

Since I am a petty man who comes here to offer nitpicks, and nothing of substantial value, another thing that I don’t get is why they make the “Darth Vader’s Helmet Vacuum-Sealing Sound” whenever a Mando puts on their precious helmet?

There is no vacuum seal on these helmets as there is an open bottom, under the chin, yet when they put the toy helmet on the kid, it made the “Darth Vader’s Helmet Vacuum-Sealing Sound” …??

I enjoyed it.

I had thought that Andor would have ruined it for me, but this is different enough that I don’t think they are really comparable at all.

I look forward to the rest of the season…and I only have one real wish…Nevarro needs a marshal, and Cobb Vanth is still alive…so I hope I can see that happen.

People just wanna complain… I saw that scene and thought “this? This is a problem?”

Looked like a training helmet I mean you ever wear one of those helmets? Can’t see crap! Kids gonna be walking right into a giant crocodile or wall.

The rest felt exactly like any other mando ep. Looks like TV… looks like “more for the new kids” Star Wars. It was fine!

And who cares if Boka Tan (is that the name?) was dramatically sitting in her throne… she prob got a heads up a ship came in the atmosphere and got all done up to be dramatic.

Fine ep… didn’t drag… 7.5/10

While we're at it, Vader's shouldn't, either. It's open in the back.

The Bo-Katan on throne thing brings up a more practical nit I've had for awhile — can anybody occasionally wear something other than their armor or their only outfit for once? It really does feel like these are just action figures and not actual people when they never change clothes over the course of the YEARS in the timeline these shows take place.

In the case of Bo's appearance this episode, it's not like we wouldn't recognize her if she was in more casual home garb, especially when Din says her name at the top of the scene (although she likely tossed on the armor right before he arrived in case of trouble or just to demand respect). And how is Grogu still wearing the same tattered burlap sack for 3 seasons now? It's iconic, sure, but get the little guy some new clothes for Pete's sake! I understand costumes can be expensive so it's easier to stick to one, but they don't have to get crazy with it. Just throw some Star Wars civilian clothes on some of these guys when they're hanging around or something for once, please!

You hit the nail in the head, there. Story-wise, these are recreations of adventures with action figures that someone had while playing in a sandbox…

Thus the reason why a Mandalorian cannot remove his helmet (neither can the action figure):

That just reframed the show for me.

I am getting a bit tired of the Armorer's quests and now the whole bathing quest thing just makes me think of Purple Rain

This episode definitely felt more like something out of Star Wars Rebels or the Clone Wars cartoons than it did The Mandalorian.
I am not sure I am on board for that.
I mean they even had the light speed travelling space whales, I was half expecting to see Ezra wave to Grogu

Although I would be interested to see Mando become the new sheriff in town. I can get behind that part

Have a good cop, bad cop type buddy cop show with IG-11
