It may go full circle and this new kid helmet might be what Hasbro puts resources towards and it will become their next Black series helmet, truly dark times.Gaffi stick dance did not bother me at all. However, I thought his induction into the tribe, like everything else in the series, felt way too rushed.
But yeah, the toy helmet thing isn’t even amusing in a “wink-nudge” meta way. I cringe at the very real possibility that someone from Disney's Consumer Products division sent Favs a note saying "We aren't moving enough of these kid-sized helmets. We think we can sell a lot more if we can find a way to make them screen-canon. Can you figure something out?"
How about this, I hope he tries to atone, succeeds only to not be full filled with his efforts and his relations with the watch, which pushes him to bring change, leads his people, which I don’t think the watch faction would follow him without his atonement, Darksaber or not, it’s just icing. and then reunites all mandalorians under a new compass.YES. I hope that’s what they are effectively leading us into for a story.
It would be bizarre to challenge the character’a ideals and morals over two seasons only to have him fall back into the same line of thinking he started with. Personally, I hope he tries to atone, can’t, and then reunites and leads his people under a new compass. Can’t get any more Mandalore than that.
Edit - Like his dislike of droids which has gone away over time, these kinds of developments are interesting to see.
I hadn’t noticed until I saw it one a 3d print file, Mandalorian helmets are commonly shown with gasket seals around the neck, does that excuse the sound when you can clearly see hair peaking out the bottom, no. But it’s a detail nonetheless. Here are examples.Since I am a petty man who comes here to offer nitpicks, and nothing of substantial value, another thing that I don’t get is why they make the “Darth Vader’s Helmet Vacuum-Sealing Sound” whenever a Mando puts on their precious helmet?
There is no vacuum seal on these helmets as there is an open bottom, under the chin, yet when they put the toy helmet on the kid, it made the “Darth Vader’s Helmet Vacuum-Sealing Sound” …??

I think it is 100% plausible that a starter helmet - perhaps without all of the tech that the adults have to enhance their situational awareness - would have a wider visor that would get narrower in later helmets as kids got used to wearing it (and integrated more tech).I'm not getting all the disappointment with the kid's helmet.
Firstly, I took it as an obvious FIRST helmet, based on how tightly it fit his pre-pubesent head. That made me think that the visor was much wider & more open to act almost as a training helmet, slowly over time, narrowing the field of vision.
Secondly, they clearly showed the Armorer painting the helmet the matte colors, so with that & no scuffs to show any metal underneath, it didn't look anymore plastic than any other helmet we've seen.
If I'm missing something, LMK.
Maybe it's the sound of Mando sucking his Cheeks in!Since I am a petty man who comes here to offer nitpicks, and nothing of substantial value, another thing that I don’t get is why they make the “Darth Vader’s Helmet Vacuum-Sealing Sound” whenever a Mando puts on their precious helmet?

Very Alien/Aliens like...not the first time an "Experimental-Beast-Go-Wrong-Incident" aboard a spaceshipThis weeks episode of the bad batch was awesome!
I'm not sure about the live action helmets, but I believe that the ones from Rebels had a neck ring about the bottom, so they weren't completely open at the bottom. But at the same time, unless they're automatically sealing to the armor, there still shouldn't be a hissing sound.Since I am a petty man who comes here to offer nitpicks, and nothing of substantial value, another thing that I don’t get is why they make the “Darth Vader’s Helmet Vacuum-Sealing Sound” whenever a Mando puts on their precious helmet?

Maybe the sound we are hearing are the pads inside these helmets expanding (air bladders?) so that the helmet is tight against the head, not specifically vacuum sealing.Since I am a petty man who comes here to offer nitpicks, and nothing of substantial value, another thing that I don’t get is why they make the “Darth Vader’s Helmet Vacuum-Sealing Sound” whenever a Mando puts on their precious helmet?

Fnar Fnar! Also, if you listen, you'll hear the same sound when Finn takes his helmet off with Poe
Even Anakin stripped to his tightly whities and hit the hot tub once in a while. The Bo-Katan on throne thing brings up a more practical nit I've had for awhile — can anybody occasionally wear something other than their armor or their only outfit for once? It really does feel like these are just action figures and not actual people when they never change clothes over the course of the YEARS in the timeline these shows take place.
In the case of Bo's appearance this episode, it's not like we wouldn't recognize her if she was in more casual home garb, especially when Din says her name at the top of the scene (although she likely tossed on the armor right before he arrived in case of trouble or just to demand respect). And how is Grogu still wearing the same tattered burlap sack for 3 seasons now? It's iconic, sure, but get the little guy some new clothes for Pete's sake! I understand costumes can be expensive so it's easier to stick to one, but they don't have to get crazy with it. Just throw some Star Wars civilian clothes on some of these guys when they're hanging around or something for once, please!
A neck seal would need to be built in to the top of the ‘turtleneck‘ of the under suit, which would line up with connectors at the base of the helmet. It may go full circle and this new kid helmet might be what Hasbro puts resources towards and it will become their next Black series helmet, truly dark times.

I’ve also seen it in animated shows but my quick google was fruitless.
Prices on Fleabay shot up this week!If Hasbro does release the young Mandalorian helmet, at least it will be totally screen accurate.

Is it just me or did the first episode seem seriously lacking compared to S1-S2 generally.
Dialogue, back story, plot, all seemed cringey.
Mind you I've basically had enough of SW TV....they consistently are trying to take something fundamentally goofy and turn it into high drama. Don't get me wrong, I love the OT, even the sequels...but as soon as try to make it seriously dramatic, it's goes south IMO.
