Mandalorian Season 3

I forget, did they even show a scene with Baby Yoda trying to maneuver IG12 out of that hole Bo carved with the Darksaber? I'd imagine that would be akin to Austin Powers trying to make a 3 point turn with the luggage cart.
Not exactly. IG-12 was shown halfway through the hole:

... but i know thats why Paz stayed behind, he wouldnt fit through the hole lol
That's exactly what I thought, too - the hole was definitely much too small!

I have been thinking all day how cool a Mandalorian privateer fleet really is. They are hired by an opulent planet to guard them, they can take on bounties and still chose other contracts. That’s a premise for something awesome: something akin to the professional warriors I imagined as a kid.

Then on the surface we have Mandos who legit have a pirate ship that gets sunk by a giant sea monster. What didn’t survive on this damn planet? It seems pretty damn livable so far.

Maybe he only needs to pass the cloud layer to dispatch a message from there?

I really enjoyed this episode! The pace was good, the VFX, music and sound editing were awesome and the ending was really gripping. I guess we will see a massive battle in space next week. I would say, Gideon will kick Mando over a cliff into the deep, Mando splashes into the water and then emerges again, riding the Mythosaur. Together they will make short work of the Imperials and their base.

I rofled hard when I saw IG-12. The constant "yes" / "no" made my day. I have a buddy who is a father of three. I told him that he should never allow his boys to see this because I know that they would immediately insist on getting one for themselves in real-life. My friend replied, it was already too late because HE wanted one for himself now!

However, Grogu could have made short work of the Troopers and might have thrown all of them over the cliff with one focused Force blow. And Gideon might have knocked Mando's helmet off when he was kneeling before him. Ah well. :)
I have a nine-month old. If he could get in one of those things and march around. He would jut shout "Yes! Yes! Yes!" over and over

I wouldn't call that survivor ship a pirate ship since they didn't seem to be doing any pirating. For a ship to be a pirate ship it kind of needs pirates onboard doing pirating, otherwise it's just a ship. This applies to all ships, even wooden hulled, sailing ships.

As for surviving, it seemed, to me, that the survivors were barely hanging on. So while Mandalore might be liveable, it's not exactly hospitable. Remember, one of the first things that they asked Bo & friends was if they had any food. That suggests to me, along with their appearance and the appearance of their ship, that they're barely surviving and extremely far from what could even remotely be called thriving. So while one could eke out a living on Mandalore, it's not some place that you would want to put down roots unless you're either a Mandalorian looking to claim back your birthworld, or have no other choice and need some place to set down because your ship is breaking down and can't go much further or something of the sort.

I finally got to watch this today and my nephew also chuckled at "The Shadow Council" dun dun DUN! My only complaint was Moff Gideon saying his armor was the next phase of Dark Troopers and I went "Lame!" Even if they changed the look to match the new Dark Troopers, he should have been in a 7-8 foot tall Dark Trooper suit like General Mohc wore at the end of Dark Forces. We also wondered why the Mandos had no grenades and weren't rockets of any kind. I'm guessing because of their FX budget. They need to give some Mandos vibroswords as well. Those would have been handy in that battle.

I hope in another season or two Gideon will have some problem and an underling will say "Should we send Dark Troopers?" and Gideon says "No, there will be no more Dark Troopers. A lone New Republic mercenary destroyed the production facility." That would be an awesome easter egg.

Yes exactly! That would've made more sense and frankly more impressive, imo!

Since he made himself a home on Mandalore, I guess one way or another he IS Mandalorian now.
This is the way

Funny how they did a Book of Boba a few ep back and went with they Clone scientist guy, I guess he's literally toast now after being fried.. Did they ever use Grogu's DNA I wonder..

Is Snoke/Palpatine part Grogu?

I’m guessing not. I had originally thought that Gideon was a Thrawn minion who in turn was spearheading the effort to enable Palpatine to “somehow return” but it’s honestly looking like everything Gideon has done has been his own pet projects unrelated to any broader picture, which is kinda boring honestly.

For those that haven't given up, or those just curious...

This video has all the connections presented in a pretty cohesive way.

I'd say it's pretty balanced, as it calls out the convoluted & overly complicated.

FINALLY...some action. Mando's flyin' around blowing stuff up...bad guy battles...X Wings...AND THAT POS Moff Gideon, who is a really good villian...shame it took sooo long to get some legs, but Mando S3 is about 1000% more engaging..... (y)
You can see they definitely put most of their energy and budget into these last 2 episodes. It really is a shame the rest of the season was such a disappointment. Either way, the wait for the finale is killing me...

That one was better, more like it but I remain VERY guarded.
AND.... that's a whole mess of new action figures and toys. And one in particularly will require little retooling.

Been meaning to mention: you know the random background Mandalorian who has a bent viewfinder stalk?
That has to be so he can actually look through it. Because if you've ever worn a Fett helmet, you know the viewfinder lowers to a spot nowhere near your eye.

I will be greatly surprised if the Armorer, and the "survived on Mandalor" Mandalorians aren't ALL spies. I would REALLY prefer if they kept the Armorer a noble leader/historical OG, but I just can't.
Maybe she does stay loyal and during the final battle of season 3 her helmet gets knocked off and she decided to let Bo make the final choice to wear or not wear your helmet within other Mandos.

Could the Armorer be a red herring? I'm thinking the spy is actually Axes Woves as he was quick to bail out on the gang as soon as the fighting started, supposedly going to warn the fleet when their only ship and only means to reach said fleet had already departed earlier to ferry the wounded.
