I guess the “darktrooper tech” connection doesn’t make much sense to me. Gideon’s suit (as does the supercommandos’ for that matter) just looks like armor and not some sort of augmented droid exoskeleton. I presume his suit is made of beskar but that’s not a uniquely darktrooper thing.
I had kinda hoped we’d see some more darktroopers since they seemed pretty effective against anything less than a legendary Jedi lol

The other thing that made me believe that they were dark troopers was when Gideon marched into the meeting room. I immediately thought the white Mandos were Imperial Supercommandos, but then as Gideon passed them, and since they were stationed between very narrow ray shields, I thought maybe they were dark troopers. Then later I thought Gideon confirmed they were hybrids. LOL
Odd we were all confused about that, which is indicative of the story telling not being clear enough.

Yikes—what a boring job these guys must have….just standing there and staring at each other in the super fortified / super secret hideaway.
I hope the salary and benefits plan that the Moff offers makes the tedium worth it.

Remove the visor from the helmets (especially the armorers helmet) and you have a Greek aesthetic.

Yeah at one point you clearly see what appear to be cloning vats with intact bodies inside. When Gideon made his little speech later, I thought we were perhaps to infer he had cloned himself.
I also notice those troopers have a pack on their back that possibly appears to be different than the jet packs we later see?

Which made me think of something else. A couple of episodes ago they said that whenever they have to eat in public with each other, they all go off somewhere to eat alone. That must have made that feast rather difficult for them since every Mando of that coven was there along with all of Bo's old-new friends. Can you imagine how far they must have all walked to be able to get somewhere where they could eat and not be seen with their helmets off? Then imagine having to walk back and then back off to your hiding spot if you wanted seconds or thirds. But I imagine that Mandos belonging to that tribe probably don't get drunk, not at least in public. You couldn't afford to get drunk in public because of the risk of getting so drunk that you either forget to put your helmet back on and start walking around, or you pass out without your helmet on.
Yeah... That was great.
I have seen some speculation that it could've been one of the venomous creatures that attacked them in the first season & bit Greef.
