Limited Run Luke's ROTJ Static Hero/Yuma/ISYHCANL Prop Replica Kit (2nd Run) *SIGN UP CLOSED*

I have one of his ISYHCANL sabers and it's FANTASTIC. It looks exactly like the one I see in the movie. High quality materials and well made construction. I really can't say enough awesome things about it, it's perfect.
That's really appreciated! And great to hear. Thanks (y)

And in the UK too so no import duty!
As far as I know, the first run hasn't been incurring any import duty (I could be wrong). I label them as "solid aluminium movie prop replica". I think it gets away with it as it isn't an electrical item. Cheaper postage in UK though too. :)

*Update*

Tidied up the original post a little bit and added some better images.

A sad day when you realise your DSLR has been superseded by your phone's camera.

Anyway, these are a little brighter:

Really very busy this week with work, but I was on the phone to the manufacturer today discussing various things.

All clear to go ahead still with a lead time of two/three weeks once everything is ready.

I didn't expect us to get so close to the target, quite so fast! 25 is the minimum though, and not the limit. :)

I do still intend on running the models through a couple more accuracy checks. Any adjustments will be minute, but with this being the final run of these, I want to make absolutely sure that it's as close to the real thing as possible!

Still a couple of places to fill, so hopefully I'll be done with any adjustments by the time we're ready to go ahead.

Thanks again to everyone who's put their name down so far!

All the best,

Dave (y)

*Update*

Made a little start this evening, getting the models lined up with one of the new reference images.

I'd forgotten how much fun these were to do (and how much of a right royal PITA too! :D )

The models (including the mangled box from a previous overlay) lined up beautifully. Eventually. The hardest part with these is getting the camera set up.

*The final kit will fit together like new, with straight rails* I've lined everything up with the broken/damaged version just to check that all the individual pieces are scaled correctly. You could build your kit with misaligned rails and buttons though, if you chose to.

I've nudged a few things around here and there. Just as a fist pass, but I'll be revisiting tomorrow. The model from the first run was incredibly close. I'm only moving things around by fractions of mm's. Anyway, I'm happy with the camera alignment for this view now, so I can bring the model back in to this scene after cross referencing other images. This view is just to get the general proportions locked down. I'll be doing a few more of these that focus on the individual areas later. Then hopefully, any collective changes will all come together to work across all views.

Like I say, this is just a fist pass. The area of greatest concern is the grenade rings. I'll be paying close attention to getting those 100% accurate to the original prop.

As always, if this project interests you, and you'd like to get in on this final run, give me a shout. It should be going ahead VERY soon!

Cheers,

Dave (y)

Watching quietly as the final run makes some changes to the whole thing and seeing your update is awesome! View attachment 1331355Register me with 2 Hero kits and need to add a Yuma box!

Carbon steel Tri-Ring is required for both kits.(y)
That's awesome! Thank you! Don't worry though, the first ones are still very accurate :D Just some minor adjustments. I just want to double/triple check everything before going ahead with this final run. :) I'll get your name added to the list. Thanks again.

Register me with 2 Hero kits and need to add a Yuma box!

It just occurred to me... If your second kit is for building a Yuma, it would be cheaper to order one kit, plus one extra body,Yuma Box and Tri-Ring if that's what you're wanting to do? You basically get a Yuma Kit for £117. I can include the necessary screws.

That's unless you want the extra parts that come with the full kit obviously. Just thought it might save you quite a bit of money. :)

**Important Update/Clarification**

It's occurred to me today, that the way that I'd structured this run was a little confusing...

I'd tried to simplify things by stripping the kit down to just the Hero, and selling the other parts separately, but this has left some who are wanting to build the Yuma/ISYHCANL wondering what to do about the other parts they will need.

I've tried to rectify this with the following new price structure. You can now order a full Yuma Kit or an ISYHCANL kit. Each will come with all the necessary parts and fixings. The ISYHCANL is slightly more expensive as it requires a Card/Rails/Black button.

You can still order the individual parts too if you need them. :)

Hope this makes a little more sense now:

Kits:
  • Hero Kit = £195
  • ISYHCANL Kit = £165
  • Yuma Kit = £135
Individual Parts:
  • Body = £85
  • Hero Box and Plate = £45
  • Yuma Box = £25
  • ISYHCANL Box = £25
  • Tri-Ring = £7
There's also the PayPal Fees: £12 + Postage: UK = £15/International = £25 obviously.

I'll update the original post now.

Cheers,

Dave

Sorry, I just saw the message
I would like to say that during your first run, I modified the same circuit boards during the construction process, and I was obviously not satisfied with them after they were finished.
I don't want to throw all of this stuff away, so I'm going to buy two Hero kits to try to install them.
Thank you for the final run!

As for the construction work of hero box circuit board running thread before, I found the LED trigger flicker design idea from Dann thread to complete the circuit board design.
Thanks to Dann for his great contribution!

As for the Yuma box, I just thought that maybe I can buy a main body to complete the construction of Yuma. So it is calculated that I need to buy two Sets of Hero kits, one Yuma box, one main body and one carbon steel Tri-Ring
If you are considering selling the black button and brass track separately I will buy some for this too! (y)
The work that you've done there is PHENOMENAL! I really love the look of those real parts reveal boards!

If you were to do a run of these, you could certainly put my name down. To be honest, I haven't even started to work out how I'm going to go about getting my lights working.

That's no problem with the 2 kits then. Whatever you need. We can discuss your final order when the time comes.

Thanks again!

Now that you have clarified things with the kits, Put me down for a full Yuma kit only (135) No need for the hero parts. Thanks Dave

Please upgrade me for a hero kit.
Hey. No worries. I'm assuming that those who haven't specified are wanting the Hero Kit. I'll update the list now to show this. (y)

If I've got anyone's order wrong, give me a shout. This is just to get a rough idea of numbers at this stage though.

Cheers,

Dave

Hey Dave. Can you please change me from a Hero kit plus ISYHCANL box, to just a ISYHCANL kit (#18 on the signup).

Thanks!

Marty
