KR x ECO Luke ROTJ Hero Brass Neck

Hi everyone!

Ok, I'm gonna ask upfront that you bare with me as I try and explain haha.

I have the KR x Eco Hero ROTJ hilt. And for me it's great. The finish is almost exactly what I'm looking for. However I'd like to turn it into my "idealized" version of Luke's saber and, for me that's actual brass parts. I've read through the eBooks thread and I realize the hero was painted and the rails change from the cave scene to the Vader insert scene.

My question. Does anyone know of where to get a brass replacement neck for this hilt? I've found brass angle rails for the box on Amazon already and the last thing I would like is a fully brass neck. Happy to pay and wait for a custom piece if needs be.

Also if this isn't the right thread to post in could you direct me to a better one?

Mind sharing the Amazon link? The correct brass angle has been unavailable for a few years now. Curious if you found a new source

Oooh interesting. Maybe I don’t have the correct brass then . I just measure the copper angle that KR provides and did some googling to see if I could find a brass version.

Ok. I have a few photos here. However I only have warm lighting in my office. That being said it's a great example of what warm lighting can do to the color of brass. It adds a bit of orange to the gold.

For my money this is absolutely perfect. I personally take the Adam Savage approach. I'm looking for an object to give me an experience. The experience I'm looking for here is not a replica of a movie prop but instead I want to know what it feels like to hold Lukes actual lightsaber. And for me he doesn't paint the neck antique gold. It's machined out of brass. And it's brand new. It hasn't had a chance to be weathered yet because he's literally just built it after he lost his hand.

This is why I'm trying to track down a brass replacement neck for my KR hilt. I want to have the experience of holding Luke's brand new lightsaber.

So if anyone could help I would be greatly appreciative!

Yeah see. That’s the new tooling, the edges are rounded instead of a true 90

Im dying to find a new source, or left over stock because as of right now there is nothing…

Oh I got ya. Yea I see that. Hmm. I don’t hate the larger radius on the bend honestly. It’s probably more comfortable in the hands .

Do you happen to know of/where I might be able to track down a brass neck?

As for the neck you’re gonna have to machine that yourself, or take some measurements off it, and contract “the custom saber shop” see if he has anything close to what you need

Does your neck unscrew? Or will you have to machine it off?

It does come apart. Similar to the 7Chambers hilt. Thanks for the idea about reaching out to the custom saber shop. I’ll see if they can help me out.

I don’t know if this will help any, but I believe Denis Lukyanov‘s Creepy Uncle hilt has a brass neck. The threading is most likely different than the KR Sabers hilt. However, if by some miracle they were interchangeable….

I actually asked KR Sabers on Instagram. The said the machining was different so the threads won't match unfortunately.
