Unlimited Run Luke v2 lightsaber paint stencils and Neck Adapters

Re: Luke v2 lightsaber paint stencils: All new files

I spent several hours yesterday doing test prints (on paper, cut out) of the stencils to check size diameter, spacing, etc.
They're very close overall. I made a few more changes to a couple of them to get them "finalized". A couple of them I went back in, skewed a few things, and adjusted some parts that didn't look quite right. I want these to be as perfect as I can get them and it's quite a difficult task to accurately capture these odd shapes on a beveled piece, at a wonky angle, filmed with a wide angle lens, and try to evenly warp it to fit a 2 dimensional flat image that will then wrap onto the real beveled piece in a compound curve and have those shapes end up looking perfect to what you see on the screenshots. Especially when one frame looks a certain way, then the next frame has brighter lights from a reflection or slight rotation, which reveals new detail but also washes out some detail in other areas. It makes it very difficult.
And then the fact that you can only ever see about a 3rd of any area at one time. Trying to find screenshots at decent angle from all side and try to stitch these odd shapes together into a continuous loop takes a LOT of time and a lot of attention to the smallest detail. They're close and we're even closer after yesterday. I still have a bit more to do but I should have some good news early to mid next week on these. ;)
Keep a look out for more updates!

Looking forward to it! Any chance your new templates will include ones for the copperish colour on the neck as well as the black?

You mean like a double layer paint mask? spray on the black, remove the stencil, add a second stencil spray on the copper? No. sorry.
That color combination is too cluttered and mixed to discern any possible pattern suitable for a stencil.
Your best bet is to apply the stencils, spray the whole thing black, then mist or airbrush the copper over the neck before removing that one stencil. But it's not feasible to do separate layers on that one.

Hmm yes it does look like it would be pretty complex as a mask! I’ll have to experiment!

List Updated. Thanks guys.
Making great progress and I think we should be able to finish them up tomorrow. Basically have the whole day blocked off to work on them.

SO! the good news is I should be posting payment info tomorrow as we start printing them. I'll post some final progress pics as we fit the last test stencils.
