Unlimited Run Luke v2 lightsaber paint stencils and Neck Adapters

Re: Luke v2 lightsaber paint stencils: All new files

I'd say wait until you can actually check them on the new kit - better safe than sorry.

Re: Luke v2 lightsaber paint stencils: All new files

Please put me down for 1.
I vote option A personally, but I'd be happy with either.
and option2.
Thanks for this new run.

My vote is option A and option 2
I think noise edges will be more difficult to unmask properly, and I will ad that detail after.
About option 2, I prefer you can check it with the saber in hand, of course.

Re: Luke v2 lightsaber paint stencils: All new files

My vote is also Option A, and Option 2. Like the idea of checking the stencil against the saber in hand. Don't mind waiting :)

Re: Luke v2 lightsaber paint stencils: All new files

Option a for me as well and the sooner there in hand the better cause I'm hoping I can mod one and redo my three piece as well.

Re: Luke v2 lightsaber paint stencils: All new files

I like option A2. I would prefer the base pattern so that I can rough it up myself. I would also prefer the best fit possible over getting it sooner.

Re: Luke v2 lightsaber paint stencils: All new files

Vote for option A and test fit first. I think any final weathering effect will look better if actually applied vs directly painted on; and I work in development...you always test your product before you field it no matter how confident you are that it’ll work.

Option A2, go for accuracy. End users can always rough up the edges later.

My vote is for options A and 2

Re: Luke v2 lightsaber paint stencils: All new files

Option B, my one complaint about your first stencils is that they looked much too smooth and vector. They didn’t have a natural weathered look.

Delivery option 2, I can wait a little longer to make sure they fit right.

Re: Luke v2 lightsaber paint stencils: All new files

Awesome. Thanks guys. It looks like the VAST majority perfers option A, straight tracing of the images with no noise added, so that you can choose to rough up your paint on an individual preference basis. And I fully agree about waiting until having one in hand. That's what I did with the originals. I tested each piece on the final aluminum part.
Each piece did fit, and FYI for the solo's hold version I never had access to one, only the dimensions and those also turned out just fine. But I'd rather be 100% certain.

I'll update the first post to include these details. I should be able to start shipping within a week of receiving my hilt. all the files will be done and ready for final measurements, so they can start going out very soon after test fitting them. That'll also allow me to redo a tutorial and take pictures of the process.

Re: Luke v2 lightsaber paint stencils: All new files

100% agree that option A for Accuracy and having you doing a test fit delivery option 2 is the way to go!

Re: Luke v2 lightsaber paint stencils: All new files

Please add me to the interest list for 2 sets... Stencil "noise" option: Option A (No Noise)... Delivery option: Option 2 (Delayed Delivery)

Re: Luke v2 lightsaber paint stencils: All new files

I vote for stencil option A add delivery option 2
