Limited Run Luke Shared stunt Version Lightsaber ( Run Full )

Re: Luke Shared stunt Version Lightsaber ( Pricing Now Uploaded )

Speaking of which, what are y'all using for a heatsink?

I wouldn't expect you'd need one - the saber is already constructed from two of the best conducting metals, aluminum and copper. Just attach the LED module to the inside of the emitter with a good conductive adhesive like 3M 8810

Thanks! I was thinking that might work but I wasn't 100% sure. I really appreciate the wisdom.

Just keep in mind that because none of us has this in hand yet, there may be some "gotchas" in terms of assembly, (etc) that need to be figured out. :) For instance, you'd probably want to fully thread the emitter and neck before attaching the LED+adhesive.

Here's a pic from earlier in the thread.

This is for members that are not located in the USA.

Does anyone want faster shipping? im just asking because i had a member ask if they could up their shipping preference for out of country.
I use Basic global shipping that runs around 25.00 shipping, but their is priority shipping if you guys are interested?

I'll pay up for priority if it ships out tomorrow

Anyone know if Goth's 3D Master Chassis for SH V2 will fit this hilt? Since both share similar dimensions, I was just curious. Thanks.

Re: Luke Shared stunt Version Lightsaber ( Pricing Now Uploaded )

I don't know about fit, but that chamber has elements that are specific to the SH hilt, namely where that hilt comes apart and the set-screw mechanism for holding it in the hilt (and preventing it from rotating).

Correct on the SH V2, but one could make similar modifications to the hilt in the areas that's covered by the clamp so you could secure that specific chassis inside. I believe there was 2 holes for the clamp plunger for activation and then 1 for the set screw for the sliding chassis. Just wanted to get some ideas. If someone is going to design one for a Crystal Focus, point me in that direction please. I read in an earlier post about a chassis for NEC boards, I'll see how that comes out. Thanks Pixelpiper!

Re: Luke Shared stunt Version Lightsaber ( Pricing Now Uploaded )

Starting to get excited and am I really looking forward to getting this glorious hilt in my hands!

Re: Luke Shared stunt Version Lightsaber ( Pricing Now Uploaded )

Mine was delivered on Monday, thanks Rudy!

But delivered to my US mailbox and I still have to make a trip down when the weather clears to pick it up :)
I cannot wait to see what you do with yours. Please post pics!

IMO, much more trouble than it's worth. I would strongly recommend against this. More than strongly actually. I've got the master version of the SH chassis on the go right now for the V2 I'll be selling, so this is based on hands-on experience with it.

It would be best to wait for a model specific for this hilt, or to adapt a different chassis.

Wait, did the hilts already hit the mail (as implied above)? If so, TERRIFIC. Can't wait to get mine.

Re: Luke Shared stunt Version Lightsaber ( Pricing Now Uploaded )

Pixelpiper's saber wasn't drilled for holes, so I'm assuming it was sent out a smidgen earlier than the rest of the lot.

This. :)

And luckily it JUST missed the crazy snow in NE New York.
