Remember, “Hate Watching” has now become the fuel for YouTube pundits who make a living off of “commiserating on things that suck”.

It’s one thing to crack jokes and laugh at the absurdity that Disney has created through terrible creative decisions and incompetence (and I wholeheartedly laugh at these type of videos), but when the criticism is no longer expressed with good humor, and becomes conspiratorial, dark, and celebrates failure by fueling negativity for profit, like selling t-shirts that celebrate the horrid RT score of The Acolyte, it’s no longer humorous; it’s somehow different.

For me, The Acolyte is an objectively terrible show and I encourage everyone who feels the same way that I do to simply turn their backs on it and back off on fueling people who profiteer off of “Hate Watching” (…at this point, a huge chunk of those who are now watching this show are just people who are tuning in to see how bad it can get or how it may upset them…).

There is an inner peace at the center that comes with apathy towards a terrible product. I never finished Star Trek: Discovery, Willow, Ahsoka, etc. and I will just as easily not finish The Acolyte.

well said.

Todays episode was the best of all 4 IMO.

Well, going forward, I'll need to excuse myself from comments about the Acolyte. After episode 3, I was completely turned off for any more episodes. I will not post about how much it sucks because I'll have no basis for doing so. I do want her pocket droid so I'll be checking the project run threads.

IMO Disney has every bit of this bad fan reaction coming. They've rightfully earned it. They've spent a decade and billions of dollars working to push the SW fanbase to this point.

I'm not personally going to hate-watch a TV show. I don't care enough. But I get why some people do.

I don't blame the Youtubers & pirate merchandise sellers for capitalizing on Disney's folly. Disney never hesitates to use the MSM to tar them with 'racist' and 'bigot' brushes every chance they get. Considering the power imbalance, IMO that's more underhanded than anything the angry fans are doing.

Ep4 of Acolyte was actually pretty good. Got a fun cameo and an interesting cliffhanger.
Halfway through the episode I made a prediction to my wife that she was ahead of me on, and will probably be confirmed or debunked next episode.

="Qimir will be Mae's master."

Having fun, not taking it too seriously.

No.. There is Another

="Mother Koril, She has a greater connection to them both and possible better story arc having carried them"

It might make for a stronger narrative..

Star Wars TV - If I wanted to watch dumb Sci Fi TV Shows, I'd watch Star Trek.....:lol::lol::lol:

Seriously......As we all know, it's hard enough to make really good Star Wars movies, let alone come up with multiple series that will have any kind of decent consistency. Not all of Disney's ideas for SWTV is going to work, that's just not possible.

I think I want SW to just be movies a few times a year maybe, it kind of loses something, stops being special, if it's weekly episodes no matter how good/bad or ugly they are.

The more I hear about the acolyte, the more I'm glad I'm just not even bothering with it....and seeing that that thread got locked, without reading anything, I think I can take a few guesses on why.
Thanks Disney.

Seeing how Star Wars, and other franchises have been handled, it really makes me glad that the Bobs of Back to the Future have said NO, to anything involving a part 4, remakes, or whatever....at least while they are alive. Really hope they write that into their Wills.
Only thing I'd take, is another ride at Universal similar to the original.

I guess veering off a little but thanks to PS Plus. I have the ability to try out some Star Wars games that I didnt get to play when I was younger. Currently playing Star Wars: The Clone Wars and its a little rough lol.

As usual, LucasArts is great with vehicle combat (this was released during the PS2 era) but personnel combat is rough lol. Really is a huge leap to what we have now with Jedi Fallen Order (although Im pretty sure Jedi Outcast already had blaster shot deflection as well). Its a little funny seeing Jedi masters just tanking shots like idiots when less skilled padawans deflect multiple blaster shots like its nothing.

The best experiences I had when i was young was playing the X-wing vs tie fighter and X wing alliance games... I still have the CD's of Xwing alliance but they are all scratched up... Need to find a way to run it again.

The vehicle combat is where is awesome. I remember doing the split screen multiplayer with my friends back then. And the developer, Pandemic, would go on to create Battlefront and Battlefront II.
