It makes me wonder if part of the thinking in The Acolyte was that this band of witches went rogue from the Sith order and were trying to defy the "rule of two" or something in that vein.

As for Jedi vs Sith, I see it like this:

Jedi: "Back to your corners, no biting, kicking, shots below the belt or songs about Barney the Dinosaur."

Sith: "MORTAL KOMBAT!!!!"

*Cue Techno Syndrome by The Immortals*
I really dont think they thought of any justifications when creating the Acolyte show. Like the Kenobi show, a lore-accurate iteration of the show would be boring.

I'd all but forgotten Mike Zeroh. How that hack remains on YouTube is beyond me. He needs to rename his channel Mike Zeroh Credibility. Unless that was his intention all along. To get views by satirizing the fanboys and getting them worked up with lies about their favorite franchises. If that's the case, the dude is an evil genius. Then again, that's just a wild theory on my part. Lol
Eh, fake news to bait outrage is an easy way to get clicks and money as a result if you spam the same trash consistently. He does have almost 400k subscribers and 40k views so that must be pretty good money if he is able to keep at it for this long.

BTW, what does everyone think about this?

Honestly, seems like the most interesting thing to come out of Star Wars in a while. Likely going to poke fun at alot of Star Wars fan theories like Darth Jar Jar and white Vader but at least its something new and non-canon so they can really experiment.

Judging by the mando trailer leak

looks like din has his original blaster again, but his whistling birds are still missing…

Question regarding the Battle of Endor

Why did the Rebel Alliance bring the Medical Frigate into the battle vs. having it wait at a rendezvous point?

It wasn’t a capital battleship and really only served as an unarmed target.

I assume ILM just wanted to use it as “battleship filler”?

In ESB I never assumed it was completely for medical use, or even that that kind of ship was only for medical use. It was just that one had a nice med bay.
Granted, in ROTJ Wedge does refer to it as "the medical frigate", so.... dammit.

They had no business bringing transports, either.

Again, you ask the questions that need not be asked. Because the answers are known, and they are stupid!

I always assumed that like with any battle, they acted as field hospitals to aid injured during the fighting. Except, you know, cause they're in space, they have it on a spaceship. Plus with the Rebellion being outnumbered and out gunned by the Empire, they would likely need all hands on deck so to speak. Whenever I saw a space battle during the original three films, I always assumed that the Alliance was fighting with all of their ships. Like, all of them. They literally had no others to spare. Unlike the Empire who were spread across the galaxy.

I assumed the same thing; the Rebellion doesn't have the luxury of leaving it at a checkpoint. This is "the battle" (the one that decides the fate of the galaxy) and they need every bit of firepower they can, plus a way to save as many pilots/ troops as possible should things go sideways.

Makes sense

In the EU they labeled them as escort frigates, which escorted convoys. Still not something to bring to go toe to toe with Star Destroyers! At least the transports made sense if you believe the EU, which said they had filled with explosives to ram Imperial ships. Those sure as hell shouldn't be there otherwise!

It does appear that the Medical Frigate did go “broadsides” with the Super Star Destroyer…

If that crew survived, I don't know how they got down the hallways with balls that massive!

I just remember in the old X-Wing PC games that frigates were nothing to sneeze at! They had missles galore.

(Isn't that what all those tubes are?)

I had to look it up to get the real definition:

So then I guess that "medical frigate" becomes a very interesting contradiction: a heavily armed, multi-weapon warship with medical staff and facilities on board. It's almost as weird sounding as "medical destroyer" or "medical battleship"!

Speaking of Rebel ships, whoever the hell at Lucasfilm decided that the Mon Calamari cruisers were made out of buildings should be smacked upside the head. How do you go from the EU where they were originally repurposed cruise liners, then later purpose built warships, to "hey they're really uprooted buildings they put in space!"? It came out during Rebels, so I'm guessing Dave Filoni, IDK.
