This is my 3rd time asking if mine went out as planned - I am a little concerned that I have not gotten a response. Three weeks ago you said mine was going out on the next run, which was a little over a week ago. Is there a reason you have responded to other posts while leaving mine unanswered?
No need to be concerned. I didn't see your previous message because I didnt check the thread unless I get an alert, which I did just now because you quoted me (I also get alerts via PM's). So that is my bad. But I will check my spreadsheet for yours and send you a pm tomorrow I'm not sure off hand. There was a run sent out last Saturday and one this Saturday as well. I'll let you know tomorrow just wanted to reply here quicker so you don't go unanswered.
We are getting close to another week since I have heard from you and I never did receive a PM as you had planned to send. I appreciate you saying there is no need to be concerned, but please see this from my perspective of being told the cane will be sent, but it was not. Having comments 'overlooked' twice, and then being told you would follow-up within a day, which you didn't. This was going to be for my son's Halloween costume so now I am faced with either making one myself which I can but will be hard pressed to do timewise, or discarding the costume we put together and starting with scratch for something different.

Sounds good. You never told me it was for Halloween. You're on my spreadsheet as a shipping priority and actually have yours boxed up to ship out tomorrow because I've been getting all the open orders ready to ship for Saturday delivery. But I understand your frustration so I can go ahead and refund your order. Thanks again for your consideration.

If I ordered just an egg now, how quickly could it get shipped?
I doubt I could have it to you by Christmas. I have two RFP orders and 20 Etsy ones to still ship for christmas. I could certainly try but I can't say for sure.

- how is the egg secured to the cane? And to the stand?
- if a full cane is ordered, is the stand included also?

The egg has a stem on it that fits in the canes top and is secured in the cane with clear epoxy glue.
If you just order the egg only it is not glued into the stand. It just sits in there. But since there is a stem on the egg it's snug but can be easily removed from the stand.
The stand doesn't come with the cane if you order the cane. It wouldn't really matter anyway since the egg in the cane isn't removable.

Here are some recent (not fully polished) egg examples. Just so everyone sees how different the bugs look in each cane. I basically try and make it so all the features in the bug are visible and I try and make it so the wings are spread like it's in flight. But I'm using real bugs so every egg is different. Which in my opinion makes it even cooler and realistic. I do polish every one and they are nice and sparkling when completed. I do not send it if the bug looks like crap and if you request it, I'm more than happy to send you a pic of the egg before it's mailed so you can approve the pose. Thanks.
