JFcustom's FOAM files

JF, I love your work and contribution to the pep costuming community. I've been looking for decent unfolds for Starcraft 2 Terran Marine. I found some files on the 405th, but it's incomplete and crude. I have a feeling with your skills, it will be cleaner and easier to work with.

Thanks,
SabrX

well, some of those models are flipping epic. I have a few questions though, so please help.
1. Do you use EVA foam?
2. Will Hot Glue work with foam well? No melting foam?
3. How do you achieve a smooth surface like a helm?
4. Can EVA foam be heat bent like PVC? Into a 2 axis curve?
5. Any tips for someone planning to build a Corinthian helm?
Thanks a lot, and please assist.

1.Yeah, it's in the title :D

Thought I'd share this: my attempt at the Arkham Origins cowl. I forgot to resize before printing, so it's giant on me, I'll be making another one probably soon. My next project is modifying the Iron Patriot boots to work as Origins style shin-guards. 1493196_10202231853811726_617904910_n.jpg

Can anybody here take the Captain America helmet and convert it to a .dxf file with Corel or Autocad? I have a guy that is willing to get it out of steel IF I can get it converted...

Just wondering, why would you want a steel Captain America helmet? Did you mean shield?

What is that? a War Machine / Predator mash up?

Hi the predator helmet on the warmachine bust was just for the show
He didn't make a helmet for me since i had a resin one allready
Thats why the predator helmet was on it just to see how a helmetwould sit on it

haven't had much time to build lately but Ive caught up a bit this week. its been challenging to scale/size the armor to fit me but yet provide the illusion of proportion and symmetry but thanx to the advice and tricks i learn here and from other helpful people i think im getting the hang of it...

Bah.... too many seams on the face plate for me to be too proud of my helmet....I need to actually start working on sealing and sanding. But I be lazy..... But thanks!

And you look like a beast in that suit. Love the scale and how it all looks. Freaking awesome!

And don't make fun of me for asking but is it a trend with IM suits and not wearing clothes? I swear most of them on Facebook are all like what you posted...... lol.

certain parts of my armor suit are really snug on purpose to help me out in the proportion dept so i can only get away with wearing either tight fitting underarmor type shirt/trunks, rash guard or a zentai suit...but honestly its just easier test fitting in your underwear when your making adjustments also and the the damn zentai suits are a pain to put on alone so..lol. my bad lol.
thanx man! i was really worried about the scale and proportion. i know i was gonna look bulky regardless but i still shot for that superhero build. i had to use 5 different scales.

I would have said yes....it's a IM thing. One day when I make one think of this moment when I boxer pose...... :D Seriously, the suit looks great.
