I'll be having a day-off now. Since it's my birthday, I won't work for these stuffs for me to have quality time with my family. :)

Jarvis, put some party hats on the suit, let the House Party Protocol commence :lol

I hope this day won't be the same as last year when some A-hole ruined my day.

Gonna have some update tomorrow :)

Happy Birthday!!! Did JARVIS make you a nice cake? :p

The plan is to build first the upper parts of the suit. Now that I've built the shoulders I'll now start working for the neck seal and the helmet. I still got 2-3 weeks to get this done.

Next is to build the cannon, I'm getting rid of the hardest parts first :lol

I've always been wondering how you can do those clean bent and smooth edges on a curved piece. Like the ones on the top sides of the helmet and faceplate. I mean, I can make this kind of shape on a straight piece, but not on a curved one ^^ ... please enlighten me :p

LOVE the helmet!

Wow looking awesome!

thanks guys! :)

its the same as making it on a straight piece, the only difference is that its bent. .

Ok I ran out of CA Glue (SUPAA GLOOOO :lol) and it's 10:23pm here, stores are closed :lol So I'll gonna work on. . .my bed now and get some rest for a while :)

Man, your stuff is awesome, wish I had time / patience / girlfriend who would give me the space to d something like that.
Maybe I should just stump up the cash and pay you!

Also, properly made me laugh, don't know why....most enlightening piece of advice ever?

ohh sorry. . .I'm not a good teacher trust me, to make that statement simple. . .here's a quick "tutorial" :facepalm

The "curve seamless cut" Tutorial

1. get a piece of rubber/foam
2. draw a curve inside the foam/rubber
3. cut the curve but not that much. . .DON'T CUT IT IN HALF
4. make a valley cut inside the foam
5. put some glue inside the valley cut and fold it to make a mountain fold, tadaaaaa. . .seamless curve cut. . .

Notes:
1. Not suitable for all curve parts, use this method with caution
2. Do not cut yourself, if you do, go to the nearest hospital
3. Do not eat foam
4. Enjoy

noticed youve been using low poly model/pdo files lately. i like the idea.

well some models out there are already based on the low poly files and i don't want to buy files, using the low poly files gives me some kind of "free-handing" feeling while building, so i like using those, although not easy to use. .it makes my build distinct

Looking good! And I didn't realize CA glue is what you used for foam, that's what I'm using on my ABS stormtrooper

Yeah CA Glue is the most used glue here in the Philippines for rubber/foam costume building.

and I just finished the Iron Patriot Forearms just now.

more progress soon. . .

Gotta admit I'm pretty jealous of your skills. I've never tried Pepakura before, so I was wondering if I wanted to do a build like this would it help for me to practice on paper first? Or is that too different?

Paper and foam are two totally different animals. It depends on what you want, what you like and what you're better with after you've tried both.

foam templates for cardboard, that should save time building the raw suit, then do the fiberglass and body work. . .i wanted to do that in the future :lol
