Iron Man

This was posted in its own topic but I thought if I posted it here, maybe a few people might be able to get it finished. I think this would look really great printed on a transparency.

And here is a pretty good reference to go with

It looks like Stark's mug shot is already used in the id paper props so that would be a great first step. Can't wait to see if this develops into anything!

has there been any more progress on this prop...Thank you in advance.

Nice work tk! I'd love to get a print of it when you're done. I snapped a few caps, no where near the best, but maybe good for a little reference.

Thanks Monkeywrench, was tough to get any reference of this from my copy :rolleyes I have nearly finished mine and am trying to get it as screen accurate as possible. We'll all have to be quick though, Paramount are rumoured to release this as a poster early july. :confused

If this is true, it makes me wonder if it will be cheaper to just buy one or to continue my own and have it printed... especially since I haven't bought the large format printer I want

I'm not sure how, but I think there is a good chance they'll screw this thing up. If that happens, we'll all be very glad for your hard work. Also, why did Paramount announce a poster instead of just releasing it along with the movie's premiere???

True it would have been a good promo and would have explained why it was in his office. We'll have to see. If it's anything like the mass produced posters out there it will probably have some changes anyway. :confused

So Paul, where did you hear about this poster release anyway?

I work in retail. While browsing the poster catalogue I came across several Iron Man images with Coming soon on them. I'll double check when the rep is by next but I could have sworn I saw one. :confused

I'll try and take a sneaky scan :cool

I love this forum. I'm going to recreate the IRON MAN Obama poster that Stark puts up in his office. If anyones interested I will post it as a EPS Vector soon :cool

Paul

Wow how long ago did I start this topic? :confused

Finally got my Iron Man 2 poster replica done. There are no clear pictures of this online. On closer inspection it looks screen printed so rather than going the vector route I hand painted it over this image :D

I'm just tidying up the unwanted layers and then going to convert it to hi res. What do you guys think? :)

Looks perfect! Great job! And thanks for double checking your retail catalogue whenever you get the chance.

Thanks mate. Well it's good news guys I checked and it wasn't this image, just a comic book still with similar colour. :rolleyes

This was a really great challenge and I'm glad I took it on, when the blu ray comes out I'll be able to check the colours for accuracy, as far as I can see though mine is very close to the screen caps that were provided :cool

Have you considered using CafePress? I've never used it so I don't know how good it is, but I'm pretty sure you can sell images you make as printed posters there.
