Indiana Jones 5 officially announced

I have been for decades. It's why I haven't seen a Marvel movie since Endgame. I don't support crap.

Attaboy.

Seriously, though, once you get off the drug, it’s extremely liberating. I spend my time enjoying the tons and tons of old stuff I have yet to experience, and it’s great.

“Fear of missing out” is a con. Completist mentality is an addiction.

We don’t need these things in out lives, dragging us down. Just enjoy the good stuff, and reject deconstructionism, modernity, and corporatized trash stamped with your favorite franchise logos.

I literally just saw a commercial while reading this from Applebees that if you spend $35 you get a free ticket to Indy 5...lol

" Before you go to the Movie Theater this weekend, stop at Applebee’s and fill up with $35 in food so you can properly displace it on the theater's floor after watching Indy 5...hey! Atleast the movie was free? " So weird

" Spend $35 at Applebee’s and get a free ticket to Indy 5!!! Spend $ 70 at Applebee’s and get 2 free tickets to Indy 5...wait, that's not all...spend $105 at $ Applebee’s and get...yep, you guessed it! 3 free tickets!!!" Wow, I'm glad Applebee’s does the math for us because the movie itself won't add up.

Imagine if it was Taco Bell promoting it...everyone would be in the toilet along with the movie.

Oh, I’m sure of that, given your consistently good taste and rational comments. My previous statement is general advice for anyone and everyone who’s listening.

Not watching this. Don’t care. Waste of time and energy. Remember it as it was, and let it all burn.
I didn't believe them when they warned me about The Last Jedi. I thought they were overreacting. How could Disney possibly screw up the easiest slam dunk in cinematic history by bringing Jedi Master Luke Skywalker back to the big screen....

Boy did I learn a hard lesson that day. Owed some people an apology and most assuredly will not be making the same mistake with Indiana Jones.

The only silver lining I can see with Indy bombing is that it may finally be the straw that broke the camels back and give Iger the justification to finally 'retire' Kathleen Kennedy. 900 million is the money Indiana Jones has to make to make the project worthwhile and predictions are it's barely going to make a fraction of that.

Hopefully 'The Force is Female' era is entering its twilight.

Oh and additional rumor straight from the mill is that Leslye Headland has been released from Disney and her Acolyte series has been shelved after test screenings described it as an incomprehensible mess slapped together by someone who had no idea what she was doing.

EDIT: Oh wow, didn't even notice there was already an entire Acolyte thread. That's how far removed I am from even paying attention to Star Wars now.

I am looking forward to seeing Indy back on the big screen, i'll make my own mind up on how good it is, i'm glad there are some of you who will go with an open mind, never got the mindset that i won't go because someone else said it was bad, or gleefully wanting it to fail, we have the original movies and they are great even four had its moments, i wish them well

Yep.

Expecting this same studio (which has had disastrous failure after disastrous failure, with no hint of contrition or course-correction) to somehow pull a rabbit out of a hat by actually respecting legacy characters and telling a good story is madness.

Disastrous failures? I don't buy the string of bad luck thingy You don't let a profitable franchise like Star Wars, MCU or Indy get run to the ground unless you're intentional doing it.

Same here. I was in denial Disney could cuss up Star Wars that bad. Well, they did with The Last Jedi. Disney has lost all it's credibility in my book. As for Indy 5, I've been an Indy fan since 81' so with all the bad vibes floating around and Disney's track record, I'm afraid this new flick will be no different. It's a bloody shame.
