Immortan Joe costume from Mad Max, Fury Road

anyone had any luck finding the brownish braided ribbons on the leftmost medals? I'm getting encouraging results searching for "luggage rack border braid," or "jacquard trim braid" assuming this is the backside of one - but no color match yet.

Hi Logan Try upholstery trims im sure Youll find a near enough match.Looks to me like three thin trims sewn onto bias binding ie two outside the same centre different? 261427959569_1.jpg

Alright, my printer is back from the dead and I'm finishing the torso print tonight. I got my thermistor working and a friend is letting me borrow his printer to get caught up. Here are the files I got for the torso. My chest piece is going to be around 39cm tall, so these models are designed for that. If you're taller or shorter by only 4 or so cm you should be fine, any more and maybe scale them in your printer.

Fair warning, this might be a complete waste of time. I wont know until tomorrow night at the earliest. But if you have a 3D printer sitting around idle and want to take a gamble, here are the files.

Lower Chest - https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwgkT061cd_qMk1vY2Ytcm5TMHM/view?usp=sharing

Print speed 35mm/s
Infill 15%
Layer Height 0.3mm
Wall thickness .8mm
Top/Bottom thickness 0.9cm

I'm so out of it from printer repairs and work I completely forgot to explain the layout of these items. Thanks, Ein, for reminding me! I only modeled the right side of the chest, but mirroring it in your slicer before printing will get you the left side.

Gonna be honest, I'm looking at these files and I have no idea how they fit together. Are you printing and mirroring parts to do this? Do you have an .stl of the entire assembly so I can get my head around what these sections are and where they go?

Edit: I can see how the abs might be mirrored but I don't understand the rest of it that well.

I outlined my strategy with photos in the other Joe costume thread. It ain't easy and it isn't perfect but it is as good as I can do.

The 240 emblem is 50mm wide, 56mm tall and 7mm thick. The 929 is the wrong one and the 4.9 is home made out of Sintra and aluminum tape.

Thanks. I know the 929 emblem ain't exact, but knowing the dimensions of the 240 one lets me scale everything else around it properly.

I got these yesterday there's some extra if any ones interested plenty extra of the of the ribbon I was thinking of separating the middle part for the easy rider ribbon

Edit- lol sorry forgot to post pics

Lay the bottle caps and the patch on before cutting it out, though. Cut mine a little too small[emoji22]

LOL! I knew I could count on you guys for transparent buttock humor!

I will be cheating a row of caps and making the Worbla border a little wider. The actor must be a huge guy. Cutting the border off the patch will help, too.

Hugh Keays-Byrne is surprisingly short - but if you look at this image I've attached - you can see the pauldrons are set above/on top of the rest of the armour. His actual shoulders aren't crazy big (not little though) - but by lifting the pauldron, they can be bigger and thus fit more bottle caps and patches etc. :)

But then (here we go!) this image shows the huge gap of bare skin between the torso armor and the
