@Barneyrfd If you have a clear image, I could hand draw it, however, if you make it, I will super appreciate it. About 10inches would be ok, enough to stick it to door frames.
About the letter, as I said, I identified each word except two which I think are about a creature or about a spell. This is what I got so far, after I will start searching for the font.
dear Hermione,
i hope you are enjoying Hogwarts school. i can’t
wait until next year when i can join you.
What kind of spells are you learning? Have
They taught you how to ****** *****
yet? That would be so much fun!
i am having fun at muggle school. i have met a girl called Francine who is also going to Hogwarts
next year and we keep discussing different spells
at lunch time when no one is listening. We are
both getting so excited about wizard school.
What is it like there? Is Dumbledore’s beard
as long and white as we thought? Have you
spoken to him?
What was it like putting the sorting hat on?
Does it really talk to you and read your
thoughts? What house are you in – i hope it’s
Gryffindor like you wanted.
Please write back soon and tell me all about it!
Lots of love
Emily

Edited: so that letter content is gone. Sorry for the inconvinience.
Also, I'm planning on doing my own version of Hogwarts, A History.

That's the problem with props, the cost a lot! like most geeky collecibles really. I try to do them myself when possible. even when we go to claire's and such, I always tell my friend, "I could easily do that you only need to do this this and this" I'm a firm diyer in most chases. I even do my own beauty products/ natural medicine alternatives sometimes (most of us don't know the stuff there's in the products we consume) and it's more satisfying to say "I did that!"in my country minimum wage is 385 usd. so 65 usd = 6 days working. i am a student and it seems i have to work 6 days only for buying one copy of this prop!!!whatever, dumbledore's note is ok too

oh i wonder, where is Hinkypunk? is she okay? got back home from hospital?
Good luck with that, and you should still try it! that way there will be more versions and you have to start somewhere to learn. I'm trying my first paper prop as well.I may try and do the letter that came with the invisibility cloak. I have never made something like this so please bear with me...
As soon as I posted another post was posted right before me... I still may try though...
It is for myself, and maybe I'll share it for FREE if it comes good. that was my intent, I don't know what to do now. I don't know anyone outside of this thread, will go and check him out. I know a Castillo from comicon and MICA (maltese islands cosplay assosiation) they may be related maybe. thanks for the heads up. It's interesting getting to know people interested in the same stuff as you, especially if they are nearby and can give you advice.@mewmar: If it's for your own personal collection without intent to resell, then go for it. No need to ask permission to recreate something for your own personal enjoyment. BTW, do you happen to know board member alancastillo1? I ask because he is from Malta as well!
