Grave Digger (not the monster truck lol) Halloween costume *pic heavy*

Finished most of the strapping on the boots. Decided to use elastic to hold the bottom part of the boot up so it doesn't get torn up while I walk. The top part just floats on the bottom so I didn't add any straps ther. The toe of the boot has a elastic strap going to the bottom of the boot and holds it place pretty well.

The other boot still needs two belts attached and the chain which I think I will have to get some plastic chain as the real chain I had was to much for the foam.

Started teeth and staining fabric for mask and body wrappings. Used tea and coffe to help age the fabric looks pretty good in person.

Started pinning the mask for folds and wrinkles then sprayed fabric stiffener. After it is finished hardening I'm going to use a liquid sitch or hot glue to hold the folds better. Also read the acrylic paint water and a towel is a good way to weather the fabric. Never worked with fabric using these methods so hopefully it turned out well.

Quick test fit with mask still haven't weathered the mask and the teeth I'm going to make into a glue on prosthetic. Played with a app to make the picture look kinda cool. Still lots to do...

Went to the store today to get the final items( I hope) for this build. Picked up some rope for the neck and back of mask. I'm having some issues with the back "pony tail" staying up instead of hanging down like it is now.

Then I found these little gems for $3 at hobby lobby the fit perfect in my large boot as rivets!

Added a little paint to each on then hot glue the hole and push it in the foam! It sticks pretty good and looks good!

Been pretty busy and Saturday is the zombie walk! Finished straps on the right boot and attached all the bolts/rivets.

The knee pad I'm afraid it won't hold on to my leg tight enough with out tearing the foam so I am making a garter the will hang around my waist with two elastic straps that will connect to the knee pads under my pants to help hold them up. Also finished the belts on the right knee pad.

Found a way to keep the "pony tail" up instead of laying down. I had some left over abs from my stormtrooper. Cut it down to fit inside the pony tail the a large part that rest behind my head. It's not uncoftable at all much to my surprise.

As others has said this is a great build. Subscribed. Might I suggest adding adding streaks of rust coming off of the bolts that would add even more detail to what already looks great.

Thanks guys! About 40 of the bolt/rivets are actually metal and rusted the other half is painted to save time since it takes about two days to get a good rust build up and there are about 80+ bolts on the enitre suit! It actually added a lot more weight than I thought it would. But ya I might add some rust colors to the painted bolts to add to the effect.

Didn't get everything done in time for the zombie walk oh well. Here is a pic of the strapping for the knee pads works pretty good and the straps hide under the pants.

Thanks means a lot! Not sure the hours other than I'm sure it's a lot. Been working on this for about the last 2 1/2 months now. I'm changing the original design by adding pants and a shirt. Also thinking about adding a rusted spine that is bolted to my back with wing nuts coming out.

Did some test fitting today turned out well only minor adjustments were needed. Only thing I have left to do is the mask and shirt!
