Grave Digger (not the monster truck lol) Halloween costume *pic heavy*

I have the Gravedigger also. I have always thought about making a costume build. You beat me to it and I have to say that it is a good thing because what you have done here is awesome and definately much better than anything I could do. Can't wait to see the final product.

Once again everyone's support is really keeping me going and making me try my best! I found this website on the web it has all kinds rust effects. I feel like my pieces need more texture. I'm going to try latex and sand for texture and maybe a few other techniques. Here's the link Paint Bard: Painting Rust Effects

Awesome build!!! Can't wait to see how to works out. I could never get the magets to stay attached to the foam when I tried using them, they would rip out cause the magnets were stronger than the glue. Interested to see how it works for you.

One cool effect I can recommend for texture is glass bead gel (Golden Glass Bead Gel - BLICK art materials) . I love the stuff, creates a sandpaper-like effect and can mix it with acrylic paint for color. I'm using it a lot right now the armor I'm building.

Wow your daedric armor is amazing so any compliments coming for you is a honor! After checking the helm pics with that gel you mentioned I'm definitely going to get that!

Small update .....waiting on boots still. I started working on the fabric parts pants, black bandages and belts. Also started staining the shovel handle and working on the shovel head.

I know it's been said before, but your skill with the soldering iron is just.....amazeballs! Looks like I need to bite the bullet and fire mine up.

At some point in my future, I'd like to bring a McFarlane toy to life. This thread is giving me all kinds of ideas...Now I just have to find it in myself to open one of the dozens of toys I've got boxed up in the garage and get started. :eek

Definitely subscribed.

Finish most of the boot armor just a matter of painting and fitting it now. I wanted more texture for my pieces so I burn the armor more and added two thin coats of glue mixed with sand. Hopefully once it's painting it will give it a nice texture.

Started the weathering. Such a large piece to weather what I've gotten done here took a little over a hour. I have so new tips for my solder iron so I'm gonna try those out to see how they work out.

Since I'm getting close to being done making the armor I wanted to give it a try on. There is no strapping yet and the boot pieces are still not attached so most of this is just sitting there. Photo is kinda blurry my kid took it lol. Overall I'm pretty happy I mostly have lots of painting to do now.
