Man this is great! That distressing and detail is awesome. Really nice work. Looking forward to seeing this finished.

Ohh. Those textures are so gritty. Looks great!

One question though... the "rivets" on the boot plates are indented holes. Are you going to fill them in with something to make them rounded like actual rivets? Either way everything is looking awesome! Each new post better than the last.

I want to fill it with something but I won't worry about it till I'm finished since it doesn't look to bad. I'm still going to add carriage bolts that I've rusted with apple cider vinegar, bleach and salt. I've counted each bolt and it adds up to 79 give or take a few. If I do all the rivets it's around 40. I'm trying to stay fairly accurate. The sand and glue worked great for adding texture plus it didn't really cost me anything extra since I had both already.

Mostly done painting minus two pieces. Still have to add foam bolt heads to the large boot. Fabric parts are next.

I am going to try and remember that glue and sand technique.

Have you considered a dry brushing of silver paint on some of the edges/corners?

No I am using that to put the fabric mask on so I can use a fabric stiffener to shape the fabric and weather it. I should be starting the mask today.
