Freakazoid costume- Facepaint question

Hello all! My friend is doing a Freakazoid costume for a convention this summer, and I wanted to know if anyone has used a reliable face paint that won't bleed or smear into his spandex suit as the day goes on. I know TimDrakeRobin has an awesome costume, but I'm not sure what type he used. Here's a picture in case you need reference.
