I kind of thinking the same about the color of the soles...
But I'm not sure about the swoosh color I should put on the sides.
The "no swoosh" feels good to me too :behave

what about a metallic dark grey swoosh?! So it sort of blends but stands out as well in the right light?

I need to what's available at the fabric store. They don't have so much special stuff when you make things with vinyl (I use vinyl for the swoosh)

I'll post a picture as soon as I make the joint between the two parts of each shoe and get the second end of the laces attached

Otherwise, I've figured out a non destructive way of putting the Tongue on the V2, and I think that I'll do them the same way on this project.
Need to think more about it and take some mesurements before trying this...

I had a light grey cardboard, so I did try it on... I kind of thinking about making a grey strap if I go Grey on the swoosh ?

cool, I need to make tongues for a few......

Basically, it is just attaching it on the sides with a stretching fabric (spandex, lycra...) and fix the end of the fabric under some insole.
Then, you pass this between the tongue of the HC or the V2 and you're done. But I need to see if this passing trhoug the old tongue is doable...

Thanks man. But for the entire sole it is not made from me, it is my Halloween Costume Soles that I've been detach from the shoe ^^
I'd like to make a entire mold of this and cast some rubber or Sillicon in and make my soles but I'm not into the molding thing (for the moment).
And I don't know/find what rubber to poor in. :/

Left shoe almost done. I did join the tw parts of the shoe and attached the laces.

About the laces :
In my opinion, it is the most difficult part of the shoe.
I haven't figured out a godd / easy way to do them as they are on the V2.
So I did it the lazy / ****ty way ^^ (I'll post some pics)

I'm on my way to join the right shoe.

If I was to make a black pair, I think charcoal grey SWOOSH, tongue, Strap and Cuff would be sweet on black.

Maybe ALL BLACK version ... I don't know... And as the Cuff an tongue are already in place (and black)... :confused

Even if you were to paint sole white and leave swoosh white they would look like a futuristic version of the 90s Nike Flight shoe like Pippen used to wear!

na I think they're Nike Flight lite II I'll try to find a pic! They pretty much have the same swoosh size in white, they're a simple looking cool shoe!

Timelord4 : Ok, thank, i get the idea now. cavx : Nike air flight lite high top I guess :unsure

I think I should make some photoshoped simulations to be sure of what I want...

cavx : here is the second shoe on the soles. As you can see the laces are not weel made but hey... It is my first attempt
I'll do a better one next time and I think I have find a good solution to do the next model correctly

You can also see the begining of my "sock toe style mod" on some angles. But I need to make a mod on the sole for this to be better. And as this model has been made out of foam, it won't be as soft as the original movie props. But sae thing... the next one...

I tried a dark swoosh made out of cardboard but it's not glued and so isn't well attached to the fabric (it is just to get an idea)

Next step is to get the correct glue to attach the upper to the shoe.
Any advices on the glue and the process to spread it ?





Otherwise, I've tried to wear them and walk with them (in the house) and it feels pretty comfortable and entering the feet inside is ok.
I'll see how this turns out when all will glued together...

Compared to the movie shoes, I think this fabric color is close. But the mesh is too large and thick...
I have to say that I'm pretty proud of the look of this one.

Anyway this was just a test to see what this would look like. I'll make this one later next year after the black one.

I meant movie but i found this image you posted and you mentioned about being close to the movie mag but I just took a closer look it seems photoshopped is it ? it looks like the real pair
