Probe-Mate Hyperspace Pod "My Interpretation"

Hello everyone,

This is my first post on this site, and I'm excited to finally join the RPF! I have been modeling for a long time, primarily as a figure painter, but I've recently started exploring kitbashing. For quite some time, I've wanted to create a Probe-Mate Hyperspace pod from *The Empire Strikes Back*, but finding the right kits at the correct scale has been challenging.

To move forward, I decided to scale down my project and use 1/48 scale Tamiya 8 RAD and Flak 38 guns instead of the 1/35 kits. This adjustment allowed me to switch from the 1/12 Tamiya Lotus engine to a 1/24 scale kit. I think you can see where I'm heading with this!

I've also made a few modifications to my build to cover some aspects and added parts to make it my own interpretation of the Hyperspace pod. I have completed the build and added the primer, and I hope to start painting soon.

Hello Mayberrygrant,
and welcome to the best sci fi film prop tv site forum on the net, I have been a member for a good while now, I like the look of your first kit bash, it looks great, now you have been bitten by the kit bash bug, there is no going back. Keep up the good work and get more kit bashed stuff on the way, do not restrict your self with size shape or theme just enjoy what you build and do it because you like it. Keep those projects coming, and once again welcome.

Welcome to the RPF. That is really cool. I built the studio scale ones. I never thought of using smaller scale kits to make that but it seems that the way those kits are molded you can build it.
