Fight Club Tyler Durden T-shirts?

Cool, Im so curious to hear what he says Danman.
That one does look pretty cool.
If im gonna pay someone over $700 for a jacket I want it Exact like the film. No artist interpretations or whatever.

I noticed that, I commented on this forum about the cut of the JAL Jacket that it looks to tight on people and tappers in like a womens jacket like he changed the look. Pits Jacket has a boxed front look.
: / people look like Stiffs wearing a JAL, like the jacket is wearing them. You see Pitt wearing the jacket and its a thin leather that flows and he has a lot of movement in the jacket. The collar on the JAL is raised to high to.

I looked at a lot of photos of people who own the JAL Jacket and the Leather looks way to thick. The bottom of the collar doesn't even stay down it flips up cause of it.

Is it cheaper leather for JAL to use, is that why he uses that hide now? Who knows..

I want a JAL but man I never saw one on someone that looked like it was the same as the film. The color looks to dark too.
If I meet this guy I have a lot of things I'd change about how I'd want mine made. I'd show him Gifs of the film to get my point across. I'd say I don't care I want it like how I've seen it for 15 years in the film.

Danman saw me in my JAL jacket. Maybe he can give you his opinion on the fit and color? Since he would be a third person observation?

same here. And seriously, when I agree that I'd like mine to look like the film jacket, its not because I have a crazy obsession with being a tyler durden clone and wanting every stitch of tyler clothing I own to look and fit identical to the film, its for the simple reason that when I really became a big fan of this jacket, it was because of the way it was cut and the way it hung and the way it looked like a cool jacket you could just throw on and run around in without looking like you were in a costume. an everyday comfortable leather jacket.

AJ, your jacket is cool as hell, but for me, it is just way too thick in comparison to the screen used jacket. too thick and heavy. When I mean thick, I mean thickness of hide and thickness of the way the jacket was sewn together. Like the collar points at the end of the collar are just too tick and tough in comparison to the jacket in the film.

Then you probably want this leather from JAL. This one has the gloss like in the photo you posted and it matches the red from the film. One was taken in indoor lighting and the other was a more white light. I could find the sample and post more pictures but it matches the red fairly spot on and has that glossy look.

This leather is extremely thin in fact JAL even said if he had made my jacket with this leather (which I chose not to) that he would have to add an extra layer of something so it wasn't too thin. If you send these pics to him he will know which leather it is.

I have about 10 different leather samples from him in shades of red. I would have to dig in my storage unit to find it. I haven't had much luck finding where I put them.

Cool. Thanks AJ. I would love to see a fc jacket made in this thinner leather to see what it would look like.

When I had my second jacket made, reason why I didn't go with the above was because he said he would have to add an extra lining because that leather above was so thin. I didn't want that.

To be honest, you could try calling him and asking him over the phone too rather then email. He could probably better explain why he would have had to put an extra lining on it. I may be even stating the reason incorrectly but I know it was due to how thin the leather was. Hence, I went with a different choice.

I'm sure some of you guys have already seen this, but I'll post this for anyone who hasn't. smirkingrevenge had one of his JAL jackets made with some thin leather.

I saw that, looks better, it hangs on the hanger, that red one is just stiff on the hanger.
I like that thinner one but the color is off : / but step in the right direction for sure.

I don't understand that, how he would need to line it with padding throughout the jacket. Does he know the leather he used on the reproduction stunts jackets?

AJRand, maybe just slight pads in the shoulders would work. it def does look like the jacket in the film is thin and lose and theirs slight shoulder pads, but even on the sides of the shoulders it droops down cause of the thinness.

Im pretty sure he wasn't trying to match the color. smirkingrevenge knows his jackets. The collar is a bit too wide, that was also acknowledged.

theres a person on ebay with JAL jacket photos up but with his logo copied and pasted over the JAL logo, the photos are someones jacket from that forum. Odd thing is his store has a stellar review.
There from India, I asked a while ago if JAL made his jackets in house or had them made out of the country to save on costs.

I am not sure that conversation was two years ago. Thats why I was saying need to re ask him. I do know the film
jacket was painted red. Thus, it could of been the same leather as Ruperts aka Smirking Revenge. He told me he hand painted that jacket nearly everyday and thats why the color differed.

To bring up another topic, what do you guys think was the cause or reason that several of durden's shirts were too short on him?? And you guys should know which shirts I'm talking about. Do you think they were hemmed that way ( a bit unlikely ) do you think they were women's shirts? Or do you agree with my thoughts that they might have been children's shirts? Moro shirt, bee healthy shirt, yellow soap sale cosmetics counter shirt, and the purple ish short sleeve 70s shirt he wears to pick up Marla were all very short.

I just think that was the style and how the costume artist envisioned the character. A lot of women really love the V line on men it is very sexual. So low rise pants and low rise shirts so to speak. Personally, it was like cleavage to women in my opinion.

oh wow. Cool, when are you gonna go back to his studio?
I'm gonna try and see him at the end of July.

I live in La. If he is as friendly and cool as you guys say, I'll probably swing by and ask questions.
