Elysium Props

The AKM with the Russian "encoder" look like it has some sort of PEQ type of laser over the front iron sight post, is this correct?

Here's a great new shot of the AK-47. Answers some questions.

Large scale model of "The Raven" from Elysium in the lobby of Regal Cinemas L.A. LIVE in Downtown LA.

Measures approximately 10 feet in length, 3 1/2 feet in height, and has a wingspan of about 15 feet:

I cannot wait for this movie. I want to make one of those exo-suits, like right now. Looks like they used molded Igus rod ends for the joints on all of the hydraulic cylinders. I'd be willing to bet the cylinders are just empty tubes with an iglide sleeve bushing inside too.

But what I really want to know is who will first to mod a Nissan GT-R. :)

Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!

I just noticed you can see one of the little air-burst bullets in the upside-down magazine in the above shot of the AK-47! Attention to detail!

Is it just me, or are 3D print lines visible on it? I spot them on the vertical forward grip, the main grip, the bevel that runs along the top, and the black cylindrical area surrounding the embossed word CHEMRAIL.

Yup they sure are....I was talking to some guys about it. I would imagine they would actually sand those down.

Probably time constraints coupled with Blomkamp's quick cuts and shaky cam, Weta figured the print lines were small enough not to read on camera.

The width of the "VENT" striping on the muzzle break doesn't match the on-set photos of Damon with his gun. It's too wide.

I'm guessing this may have been a stunt, a background gun (set dressing) or a prototype.
