DRIVE (2011) Scorpion Satin Jacket

looks great, but be carefull; I made the mistake of wearing a jean jacket underneath it (same AA satnjacket) and a big hole appeared on the right side. It is a very cheap jacket.

I had actually planned on doing the same thing. Did a button wear through or what?

How does screen printing work exactly? Do I just go into a place that does it, give them the jacket and a pdf file and they'll do it for me?

Pretty much. A buddy of mine actually owns his own Tshirt business, so he had his graphic designer turn my image that I gave him into a file that could be used to make a new screen. Now because they had to create a brand new screen for this image, it was a little pricey, but not too bad. I'm thinking the price will vary from shop to shop, depending on what type of equipment they use. I went ahead and had a couple white Tshirts made with the scorpion on the back for my friends and I too. I even took hot pink puffy fabric paint and wrote the cursive "Drive" logo on the upper left chest. They turned out pretty nicely.

btw, does anybody have Erin Benach (the costume designer) email address? I need to contact her regarding another Gosling related costume.

thanks

Hey everyone! So like many I am putting together my own Driver Halloween costume. I'm about to go to the screen printer, and I'm wondering if anyone could email me their scorpion template to use? It would be much appreciated!!!

Read the thread. Someone posted theirs earlier.

Just finished! I can't wait until this weekend! I'll have to post a couple pics of the whole costume put together. Good luck to everyone else making their own!

I sent an email to Steady asking if they had any pictures of their progress, since it seemed like they were documenting it at first. Hoping for a reply with some pictures of jackets rocking the scorpion sometime soon!

Long time lurker. Looks like I ran out of time to put together anything decent after I tried on the AA jacket and decided it was too cheap and see-through to invest $45 and a lot of time to make a less than decent jacket. I'll probably be aiming for next year and putting something nice together.
To contribute something, I found these diamond stitched flight jackets that would work awesome as a base if they came in white or cream. I don't know if they could be bleached or what but maybe they could at least be used as a pattern or something.

I got a reply today from a woman at Steady named Ashley. She said:

"Hi Adam,
What you have seen online are the only pictures we have right now.
Hopefully we can get some more up soon. Sorry!"

Would be nice to see some more.

November 11 (First run) is just around the corner so hopefully pics of the finished product will be revealed soon. Plus we have Indy's jacket to look forward to as well. It'll be interesting to see how they compare to each other.

So am I, even though I already ordered Steady's version. The release of their jackets will make for excellent source material for Indys. I just can't wait to see more images of them.

New to register here but been following this forum since this thread started. Can't wait for the Indy jacket. Here's my knockoff that I'll be goin to Vegas with for the weekend. The printers kinda messed up the placement of the thermoprint but it was only 25 bucks so no biggee.
