DRIVE (2011) Scorpion Satin Jacket

So my jacket I have made up was finished off and here is what I came up with:

Havent seen this done yet - inside out!

As you can see it came out quite well and is good for everyday without the scorpion. Ill be putting my interest thread back to the top rather than clog this thread up but wondered about your opinions?

yeah i am aware of the snap collar, aesthetic stitching missing on rear of collar and a couple other points but for the price i dont think there is a closer jacket. thanks for the compliment though it means a lot coming from you benhs

Hey Indy, did you ever look into making the henleys? I, for one, would buy a bunch of them. I am sure they would be a hit.

It looks a tiny sketchy but see what the email sounds like. If it's legit, you just found a goldmine!

BTW, on the Levi jacket, nothing is going to be exactly accurate as the original is vintage and has brass buttons.

These are pretty rare and are expensive but if you can get your hands on one, a Levi's Vintage Clothing (LVC) jacket is the closest you will get to a vintage jacket like in the movie.

Check out tis picture of the Type III Trucker with brass buttons

Hi, I'm Alex and this is my first post one the forum!

I watched Drive a few weeks ago and I absolutely loved it, and of course I also loved the jacket :popcorn
A few minutes later I started looking for replicas online, after some time looking for reviews of the Steady jacket I found this forum which was very helpful to me, and I want to thank all of you for creating such a great resource for people looking for Drive jacket replicas!
I've been reading every post on all the 99 pages and by now I feel like an expert for replicas of the jacket without ever having seen one personally! This was very helpful! :)
Just wanted you all to know that :)

I'm considering buying the Magnoli jacket, even though currently I'm short on cash and I also feel I should probably hit the gym some more to get the best possible look out of it..

There haven't been many people posting pics of the Magnoli version though (as far as I noticed), how many of you do actually own that version? It would be great seeing pics of that one in contrast to the Steady jacket since it seems to be so very superior. The photos on Indy's website look great, by the way I'm also very thankful towards this forum for making me acknoledge the existence of such a great artist as him :)

Btw, a reversible Drive jacket would be awesome!
:thumbsup

On the belt, yeah the representative I talked to couldn't ID it, but she recommended the reversable.

Alex- I have the Magnoli and I've had the Steady. There is no comparison, the Magnoli is absolutely a piece of art. I feel so afraid wearing it that it will get dirty or something. It is truly a master work and I would say it is 10000% worth it to save up for one.

As per the belt, the reversible looks good, but the real buckle is a square when this one looks to be off in proportions

I recently bought a black/white diamond pattern quilted satin japanese souvenir jacket (actually it's a replica of a japanese souvenir jacket by a german producer) at my favorite second hand store for 30€! It's a reversible jacket (the other side of it is red/white) so technically I just paid 15€ per jacket :)

Sadly my tailor isn't able to put a stand-up collar on it, but aside from that it's a great alternative to try out the look until I order the Magnoli version :)

So I went to Selima Optique and got to meet Selima!!!

I was in full costume minus shirt and pants but she loved the Magnoli Jacket and she signed my cleaning cloth!

I just got a brochure from Torino so I need to check whether or not they still make (or even made) the belt.
