DRIVE (2011) Scorpion Satin Jacket

Found these on a trip this summer. They're pretty close and even have the two metal circles on each side of the lenses.

Those are great! Thanks for sharing!
Any chance you can let me know the brand or any other way for me to try to find a pair?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've seen ones that look pretty similar at Target or maybe Walmart..., I found these in an antique store which was really random. But yeah, check those places.

My Wife just debuted her Fem-Driver at Comikaze this past weekend. The response was awesome! We changed a few of the components because finding them in ladies sizes is impossible BUT I think it turned out perfect! Hope you guys like it!

Thats awesome! Did she use a real hammer? I was trying to find a good rubber or foam prop, but in the end i just decided to make my own.

Its a foam hammer, I searched FX hammer and found one for fairly cheap she could use at Con's and not get peace bonded like crazy!

Alright so I'm obviously not the first person to fall in love with this jacket lol, but I really do want to get one before steady stops producing them. I'm 6ft and 150lbs, and am heavily leaning towards a medium, but would like someone around these measurements who has a medium or other size to give their opinion, thanks!

Hey Drivers.

I'm new and catching up on posts, but wanted to share a few finds.

Anyone still looking for a great SS Henley?

People may have seen the offerings from J. Crew since last Spring...
If not, here are a few of my reviews, and a current offer.

IF you are an XL and looking for a shirt, J-Crew has one now that could be a perfect fit for you!

WORKWEAR SHORT SLEEVE HENLEY
Workwear short-sleeve henley - layering tees & henleys - Men's tees, polos & fleece - J.Crew

Make sure to use the LOVEIT code promotion and get an additional 30% off the sale price. This just went active today (09/20/12). Again, only size left in the white is an XL. I called to make sure.

Anyway, I have ordered quite a few shirts over the past 6 months looking for the perfect fit.
The first I bought was a line carried by J. Crew online: Homespun Knitwear. The shirt was a tight fit, especially in the biceps. The knitting was very vintage feeling, but maybe a bit too vintage. These shirts have more of a Civil War/turn of the century feel rather than a 1950's look. The color was definitely off-white and more of a cream. I wasn't disappointed with the quality of the shirt, but felt that I needed something with a little different fit, knit, and color. The price tag of $70.00 didn't make me want to keep a "less than perfect" tee stuck in a drawer. I ultimately opted for the return.

At the same time as I ordered the other shirt from J-Crew, I purchased several "Broken In Short Sleeve Henley" tees in multiple colors. The "Vintage Sage" was the keeper, for the "casual day" Driver look. These were only $23.50 when I ordered back in February, but are obviously long gone. The cut and fit are great. The fabric is more of a comfortable, thin cotton tee material. The sleeves don't have the same look as the tees used in the film, though. They are a bit shorter without the thick band.
(I also ordered the shirt in a "Heather Bone", but never received the back-ordered item.

In my search for a more "white" henley, I ended up purchasing one through a retailer linked with Amazon. This shirt isn't worth a full review. It was just "too white", long and the neckline was too modern. Luckily, I was able to return that one as well.

Finally, I was out of town and stopped by a Fossil store with clothing. They had the PERFECT shirts, as I picked up an "ivory" and a blue. Both colors were a great match to those worn in the film. The sleeves were the perfect length and have the large band as the screen shirts. Even the neckline hangs right, with the longer button placard. They are super comfortable, and have one of the best fits/cuts of any shirt I own.
Very happy with these.

So that's all I've got. :lol I hope this helps.
Maybe the chances of looking for one of these rather than a deadstock vintage piece would provide better chances for a find. I would have loved to score one of the most recent J-Crew "Workwear SS Henleys" that I listed in my size, but time and opportunity just got away from me.

I may list all of my Sunglass/ shoe / glove finds if people find the shirt details helpful...

This thread was an awesome read! It's awesome to see so many fellow Drive fans out there! :D

Does anyone know where you can just get the scorpion design? Either an iron-on or a stencil that can be used to paint it on a jacket would be awesome.

I want to try to make my own Drive jacket, but with a slight twist so that I can wear it out and about and still look very feminine. :)

Some great finds there, thanks. Anything else you have is much appreciated.

Hey guys, quick question:

What is the "Official" pair of ACNE jeans used?
Did I read that they run super small?
I typically buy a 32 x 32 and don't mind a squeeze, but if everyone suggests to go for the 34 x 34, I'll take the valued advice.
Thanks!

Acne Max Raw, you can get them from online shops, like Mr. Porter or sometimes eBay. They're raw denim, so maybe size up, just to be safe.

Thanks for the confirmation, Mad Man

So...if I don't want to pay $200.00, what are most people choosing for a 2nd runner up/more affordable option?

As far as the watch goes, I have seen some great replicas on this thread.

I personally have ordered the Pulsar for $69.99

Did anyone have a great link/source to a better Patek Replica?

For the pants, eBay. I was able to get a pair of new Acne's for a little over a hundred. If you're okay with used, I've seen them go for less. You can also get the Docker's the Driver wears much cheaper than original retail, as they're out of season.
