I put this on another Obi Wan Lightsaber thread, but was pointed in the direction of this thread, so I'll post it here too. I'm sure it's probably been pointed out before, but just in case it hasn't. This is my take on at least two Obi-Wan sabers being made. Pics 1 and 2 (chronicles and death star screengrab) have matching marking on the emitter, but no silver inside. All the while pics 3 and 4 (facing Vader and after being struck down) do not have the marking, but have matching silver inside. Just my two cents.

Okay that emitter mark is quite interesting

It's possible the emmiter can change position and be obscured by the cloth along with the mark being washed out by flash in the third example.

This is filmed on the same set?
